Jessica's POV
I was awakened by a deafening sound of music blasting through our speakers.
"Still into you by Paramore" is playing.
I instantly rose up from my bed to behold who's playing the music as early as, what time is it? 8 a.m? It's still fucking early.
When I came out my room, I bumped into Camila and Dinah dancing and singing.
As I rubbed my eyes, Dinah grabbed my hand and told me to dance. And Camila did the same to Sofie who just came out of her room too. Well, I was still sleepy so I attempted to go back to my room but Dinah had a tight grip on me.
"I still want to sleep!"
"NO!" Dinah shouted and she tacked me to the ground to tickle me.
Yeah, we're this old and we still play games like this.
"AHAHAHAHAHA STOP! STOP! ALRIGHT I'LL DANCE! HAHAHAHAHA DINAH!"
"You promise?" Dinah asked while still tickling me.
"YES YES I PROMISE" I said while catching my breath. She finally let go of me and we started dancing again. Camila and Sofie just looked at us while laughing.
"GIRLS! BREAKFAST IS READY!"
We heard mom shout from downstairs.
"WE'RE COMING MOM!" Camila replied.
"Last one downstairs is a donkey!"
We all ran downstairs and we all rolled down with a loud thud because of Camila's clumsiness.
"CAMILA!" we shouted in unison
"I'm sorryyyy" Camila apologized.
"Come on girls, let's eat." Mom said while shaking her head at us.
We all sat down and prayed before we ate. It's a Saturday morning so I think we all have separate plans for today. Mom said she's going to the spa, Camila is going to Ariana's place, Dinah is meeting up with Lauren and Normani, Sofie is going with Sabrina to the mall, and I- I still don't know what I'll do today. What should I do? Maybe I'll just go to a bookstore later then go to a coffee shop then watch a movie. I might do a little shopping too since I've got money from my part time job.
"So where are you girls going?" Mom asked
"I'm going to Ariana's place, mom." said Camila.
"I'm hanging out with Lauren and Normani." replied Dinah.
"Sabrina and I are going shopping! I haven't seen her in a long time. She just came back from her trip to Europe."
exclaimed Sofia full of excitement.
"How about you, Jess?" Camila asked.
"I think I'll just go around town alone."
"Alright, be home by 8pm girls." Mom said with a stern voice.
"Yes, mom"
After we ate we all stood up to wash the dishes and clean up. Then we all went back to our rooms to get ready for the day. And here I go again, having difficulty on choosing what to wear. So I just sat down on my bed and checked my phone to see if there's notifications. As soon as I opened my phone, Keara texted me:
Keara: hey wanna hang out today?
Jess: yeah sure, meet me at the bookstore in 20 minutes.
Keara: yeah sure, I'll tell you something later.
Jess: okay see u. xoxo
I locked my phone and finally took a shower. I'll just wear a flannel, stripped jeans and my sneakers. Oh did I forgot to mention? I'm bisexual. So is Keara but we're just best friends. As I got dressed, I took my phone and my wallet to put it in my pocket. I went downstairs and saw my mom and sisters are ready to go as well. We all went to the car, Mom is driving and she's dropping us off.
"SHOTGUN" Dinah and Sofia shouted.
They ran to the car but Sofia got in first so Dinah let out a loud grunt while Sofie laughed at her. So Camila, Dinah and I sat in the back seat.
As I got closer to the bookstore, I saw Keara walking down the street. Looking yet excited. The car stops and I think Keara recognized our car and waited for me.
"Bye guys, see you later, love you!"
"bye!" "see yah!" "love you too"
and they drove off.
Keara approached me and greeted me with a hug. Keara and I are huge book worms. We sometimes hangout and just read. When we entered the bookstore we had big smiles just because of being in a place full of books. We spent almost and hour in there and I bought four books as same as Keara. We then headed to the coffee shop that was 3 blocks away. We ordered our usual and got some donuts to go with it. As soon as we sat down, Keara told me that she knows a girl that I might like.
"I don't know, Keara. I'm not sure if I'm ready for a relationship again."
"What? Why?" asked Keara.
"Remember what happened with Elisse?"
*Flashback*
I had a girlfriend before, her name is Elisse. There was a point in our relationship wherein I felt like I didn't love her anymore. As I got confused feelings, we became an on-and-off couple. It was getting harder and harder. Then one day I just really fell out of love. I finally had the guts to break it off. We were together for almost three years if you count the time we were just starting to date. After two years we became official. I hurt her so bad.
*Flashback ends*
"It's not that I haven't moved on, I just don't want to go through that again, to go through a point where I'm not sure about being with that person. To hurt another human being who just gave me love. I don't want to hurt someone so bad just because of my unclear feelings."
"Oh... but- I- I-"
"You what?" I asked confused.
"I'll still give you her name, okay? Maybe you can be friends with her, or more." She smirked and winked at me.
"Fine, alright." I sighed as I rolled my eyes.
"Great! Her name is Diana. She lives near my house. And she's cute."
Oh boy, that's not a good sign. What's gonna happen next?
