CHAPTER 6, The Lies

When Ruki went to school all the secret about Ayumi was spread around and the boys started to make fun of her. Ruki passed by Tsujimoto Tatsunori. 

Tsujimoto Tatsunori
Whoever makes a mess with me, ended up JUST like YOU.

As he walked away and laughed evilly. 

Ruki didn't care about it - listening to music and just walk away. Ever since then she didn't even bother trying to talk to them or make eye contact. She feels sad and guilty for lying to them but she has to do it for Ayumi too. In the morning, Ruki went to meet the principal as she felt guilty for what she had done but not regretting what she did. So, she asks for the principal help to gather all the students to the hall.

Ruki
Good Morning Principal and Vice-Principal. I'm sorry for my selfish request but could you gather the student tomorrow morning?

Mr Domoto Koichi
Okay! But are you sure about this? They will hate you even more if you do this... 

Ruki
I'm sure about it... I can't just keep on lying to them... Besides, some of them knew about it and are already hating me...

While looking guilty.

Mr Domoto Tsuyoshi
Alright, we understand... but your punishment will be to clean the soccer field after school on Friday.

Ruki
Yes, Sir! I'll do my punishment!. Thank You Sensei for your understanding.

She thanked them as she bowed and left. The next day everyone gathers at the hall since it was their principal announcement. They were all mumbling, chatting, and making even noisier but when Mr Tsuyoshi, the vice-principal, step on the stage and standing in front of them they all kept quiet.

Mr Domoto Tsuyoshi
I gather you all was because Ruki-kun would like to seek your forgiveness. 

Everyone was shocked when they heard Ruki's name. Ruki went up to the stage and stand in front of them and bowed to them while saying 

Ruki
I'm sorry for lying to you *stood up* but I will never regret what I'm doing. I am doing this for someone who is really precious to me.

Ruki started to tell them the story but never tell them the truth about that person but everyone didn't listen to her - some were pretending to sleep and while the rest even play their phone.

Ruki
That person was really important to me... she loves to go to school but she couldn't so all I ever did was to tell her about my school experience. So I decided to play a part for her. I won't mind if you do not forgive me as long as you listen to what I say. Thank you and I'm really sorry for what I did.

Slowly all the students went back to class also did Ruki but she said a word neither look at her classmates. In another corner, Chiaki Ito and her friends were worried about her, Ruki.

As she tries to grab her wrist but missed because Ruki walked really fast to avoid the girls.

Is she will be Okay?

We just went to say... we forgive you...Ruki...

The boys that have the same class as Ruki started to feel sorry for her. Ruki went back to her original seat and just ignore them. After the boys recalling about her story that she said in the hall, They started to stand and walk towards Ruki's table.
