Spread of the zombie virus

The discovery

Gerald and Termel run deep into a forest and stopped.

I'm pretty sure the security team wouldn't go this far. Gerald said, looking around the area.

Yeah, but we don't know. Termel replied.

Anyways, we need to find a way back to Melville. Gerald said.

Right. Termel said before nodding.

Unfortunately for them, they didn't know that the security team were still following them, albeit, in the trees.

The leader had been waiting for just the right time for him and his team to jump down and catch the duo on surprise.

However, all there heavy equipment made noise when they moved, which is exactly what happened to one of them who was trying to get behind some leaves to make sure he was hidden.

"What was that?" Gerald said following where he had heard the noise too.

He squinted his eyes as he looked into the trees above, noticing some parts in the leaves were too black.

The leader then jumped down aiming straight for Gerald's head.

The others did so too, leaving only three in the trees.

As soon as they hit the ground they started firing.

The two dashed away.

One of them who was still in the the tree tops jumped down with a micro SMG and landed straight in Gerald's path.

Gerald knocked him to the ground, and picked up the micro SMG.

The leader motioned the two in the trees to follow the duo, while the ones on the ground would be behind them.

They ran deeper and deeper into the forest.

They must've gave up by now. Gerald said, out of breath

The two officers had followed them and dropped down.

Your a little late on that. Termel said, before taking out the iron bar

The two officers weren't armed with guns, but they did wield enchanted iron swords.

Now i get to see the damage this thing can do. Gerald said as he took out the micro SMG.

He then pulled the trigger, and a storm of bullets hit the officers armor.

They then rushed him, trying to avoid the bullets, and rammed into him.

They then grabbed the mic. SMG, and held it straight at him.

Termel then knocked the SMG out of the officers hand.

The other one tried to grab it, but Termel knocked him out too.

Just then, a few more officers arrived, all pointing at the two, ready to fire.

Just then, a huge wave of zombies came into view.

The officers switched targets and fired at the zombies.

But the zombies just kept coming.

One of them bit an officer on his shoulder.

He then collapsed to the ground, struggling, and soon turned into one of them.

This alarmed Gerald and Termel, as the other officers were being overpowered by the zombies.

Now we know about the zombies they were talking about! Gerald said

Let's get out of here! Termel said before turning around and taking off

However, they encountered more zombies.

Gerald tried to shoot them, but it was no use, they just kept coming.

They sprinted another way, only to find more zombies.

They tried to run a few more times, but it seemed as though the whole forest was infected of them

Finally Termel and Gerald found an opening, and took off, and to their luck, there were no zombies on the path.

That didn't mean other monsters weren't there, as a spider jumped onto termel's head.

Luckily, he managed to put it down quickly after he got it off his face

Several spiders were in the trees, all ready to jump down and grab the two.

Eventually they got out of the forest.

termel stopped to try and catch his breath.

Hey man, we can't be stopping now, we gotta keep on going! Gerald told him

They took off as fast as they could, and ran back to Melville to try and tell everybody about this situation before it would be too late.
