I ran as fast as my short legs could carry me down the dimly lit hallway. I glanced behind me to see him following me with an amused look on his face. My h/c hair whipped into my face as I cornered myself.
Stupid!!!!! My brain screamed
I dropped to the floor and closed my eyes, praying he'd just leave me alone. His echoing footsteps faded and I looked up, hoping he'd left. I was met by his blood red eyes and my tears from fear blurred my vision.
