"It's my dad. I miss him, he really loved me when..."
"Loved? Past tense?" Dean interrupted.
I frowned at him. "Past tense yeah, he's dead. Some years ago."
"Oh I'm sorry for..."
I cut him off. "Don't be. My dad loved my mom, my siblings and I so much when he was alive. His love for us was strong and now all my mom can think of is remarrying. Isn't it betrayal?"

"For how many years have your father been dead?"
I rolled my eyes. "Four years and few months, I was eighteen then."
"Sweetie your mom deserves to live her life, it's been over four years so she tried waiting. Respect her decision Mikayla."

I pushed him off me in anger, I wasn't satisfied with what he said.
"Baby don't be mad at me, I was only telling you the truth, I ain't gonna lie to you."
I shook my head slowly. "If she really loves my dad she wouldn't have thought of remarrying some handsome business tycoon. I won't let her."

"She loves him Mikayla, let her live a new romantic life."
I inhaled deeply and sharply. " I still don't want her to remarry, I swear I don't want her to."
Dean rolled his eyes and sighed. "You're so stubborn Kayla."
"This isn't any of your business, it's my family and not yours Dean!" I snapped at him which we didn't both expect at all.
He just shrugged his broad shoulders, closed his eyes and opened them. "Fine I'll do as you want, just follow me."
I felt guilty and sorry for yelling at him and pissing him off with my emotions and I couldn't even fathom why and how it bothers me to see him pissed off by me.

................

I was stunned when I got out of Dean's house. It was a white three-story house with many houses surrounding it. The surrounding houses were similar and the whole area looked woodsy and green grasses weren't hard to find.
Well, this was a strange neighborhood that was really big. Dean's lot was matted with smooth tiny grasses and his house was the biggest in the neighborhood like he was some sort of king.

A white Toyota Camry was on his lot, I guess that was the car he was driving to take me home.
"Your neighborhood is kinda weird, Dean."
He replied as he opened the door of the seat beside the driver's seat for me. "It's a neighborhood for nature lovers and it's not in the main city but here, this neighborhood was specially created many years ago." I noticed some people staring at us and whispering to themselves.

I got into the car buckling the seatbelt. "Cool and weird."
He forced a chuckle and got into his car.
"Take me to the club you met me yesterday, I'd go home from there since you don't know where I live."
"How 'bout you direct me there?"
I shook my head. "No, take me to the club. I have some stuffs to do there before I go home. I have to clear my head."

"Don't get drunk," he warned carefully but in a really annoying possessive tone. "You're mine and I don't want any other man to touch you."
I scoffed. "Macho, I am not yours. Okay? Get that right."
He guffawed. "You just don't know yet Mikayla. You are mine like I am yours."
I folded my arms around my chest and rolled my eyes warily.

Dean dropped me at the club. Though most clubs were only opened at night, Spazzy's  was opened from morning for people who want a silent drinking time.
Immediately Beryl spotted me, she ran to me and hugged me and asked if I was fine.

"Did anything happen between the two of you yesterday?"
I tried not to blush as I shook my head. "No, nothing happened last night between us."
"Kayla, I can sense some lies."
"C'mon nothing happened. You have a dirty mind."
"Two adults, the female one drunk and the male staring at the female as if he owned her, as if  he was smitten, he looked turned on, like he was already in love, like he wanted her so I don't believe nothing happened. Come on tell me the truth Mikayla."
I gave her an irritated look. "Beryl zip it, nothing happened."

When I got home I ignored my mom who looked just like me and her dark-haired lover who was hunky and a rich business man, Joe Daniels who clearly seemed to be in his early fifties. My mom rolled her eyes at me when she called my name as  I met her and Joe on the lawn making out passionately.

"Oh! Stop being such a baby, daughter." My mom muttered.
Joe grumbled with a worried look. "She still doesn't love me, I don't get why she doesn't like me. She hates me Ellie."

This was my father's house so Joe should fuck off.
I was still proud of my dad, he was hardworking and got this great house built. His house was the envy of this neighborhood as it got built.
So Joe Daniels should really fuck the hell off.
