CH. 17 Writing Its' Lyrics

February, the month where love is visible in the wandering cherry blossoms. Just thinking about giving chocolates to someone you care about is...embarrassing. For Aiko, it's a different story, writing a love song for her best friend is her main priority. Though, since the New Years, the feeling of Misaki being confused that day still makes Aiko more anxious. Time is running out, and graduation is getting closer when spring comes around again. Aiko, sitting in her desk in her brim lighted bedroom. It's around 8:00 pm, and she's not going to bed at this time. Her guitar lay next to the desk, a constant reminder for her love of music, and a precious gift from her father. Aiko had a journal for writing, writing a love song was the first to be entered into the journal. With her earbuds plugged in, she began thinking of ideas for this certain song she wants to express.

"How could start this song?" Aiko thought to herself.

She gripped her lead pencil while looking at the blank journal paper, almost to the point she felt useless writing anything. However, she tries to remember how she feel about Misaki. A flow of feelings came rushing to Aiko.

Her face turned hot and sweaty. Only putting her hands on her red face, not even the music was helping either. Though, she must make everything work, so she began writing a few words.

♪I've always been stuck in the crowd.
Nothing spectacular happens, until you entered
the crowd with your hand reaching me. That's
when I knew you were there...

Aiko was stumped once again. She tried to keep the beginning reasonable, yet it doesn't sound like a love song. Aiko had no choice but to contact her reliable friend who may help.

[Hey Kasumi, I need some guidance real quick]

A few minutes later.

[Aiko! Sure thing to see you texting me late at night!]

[I need your help with the song!]

[Oh I remember, sure I'll help you out with that （＾∇＾）]

Soon after that, Kasumi gave Aiko a few tips about expressing her feelings into paper. Aiko came up with the other part of the song.

♪When I escaped the crowd, we were running
away from the past that kept us behind. The
feelings grew when I'm with you, all my troubles
disappeared. As seasons past, the only thing
that kept me warm throughout winter was your
smile.

Aiko was impressed with her writing, sharing some of her progress with Kasumi along with it.

[Whoa, you know you can try out literature for college.] Kasumi replied.

   [This is just most of my feelings I'm writing about.]

   More of Aiko's feelings began to spill all over the journal paper. A love song was forming one by one.

   ♪These days happen without coincidences, yet they don't last as long. To see your kind face again, makes my heart pound. One day we will finish what we started before. Our chapter is not over yet. Having you is special to me.

   [End it with a confession Aiko!]

   [Huh..?! No way, I don't think I'll sing that part confidently] Aiko hesitated anxiously.

   [You gotta let Misaki know, just write something similar to a confession] Kasumi suggest.

   Aiko didn't hesitate this time, she comes up with something less obvious for the end chorus.

   ♪As day by day passes, the only you will still.  remain in my heart. Something I've been trying to say was surrounded by love. One day, you'll know know what it all means for me to you.

   Aiko felt accomplished with the final lyrics.

   [Wow Aiko, that's some good writing skills! Seriously you need to do literature for college!]

   [I don't think my mother would want me to focus on that]

   [Just kidding (*'∀')♪ What are you going to name it?]

   Aiko paused for a minute, not thinking about a song name. Not until she thought of something to match the person she would sing it to.

   [I'm thinking about "Dear Sweet Flower" for this song]

   [Ooh that's sound pretty neat! What inspires you to name it that?] Kasumi replied curiously.

   [Well, Misaki's name does mean "beautiful blossom", so why not name it similar to that] Aiko blushed a little when mentioning about the name.

   [Good one Aiko! I know Misaki would understand what your trying to say (*^o^*)]

   [Alright, thanks Kasumi. I'll meet you again sometime at school. Good night!] Aiko replied as she yawned while laying in her chair.

   [Okay! Good Night!] Kasumi ended the conversation.

   Aiko layed back onto her chair, viewing her shiny polished guitar. Aiko viewed her finished song the lyrics, right before bed.
