"Obviously, I'm not what I eat." -wink wink
-------------------------
Chad Ashton. I totally hate that name right now.
I walked along the corridors, searching for any sign about where I was. That jerk of a guy, Chad, left me 10 minutes ago telling me he'll just go to the bathroom and take a minute.
Well, curse him. Cause right now, I really don't know where I was.
I was lost in the crowd of students hurrying to get to their classes. My class doesn't start till 45 minutes though.
I decided not to wait for Chad and walked along looking down at hallways and classrooms when someone grabbed my wrist and pulled me.
We stopped by a corner and I saw Lance.
"You lost?" He asked,
"Kinda."
"Why were you here anyway?"
"I was looking for the cafeteria...do you know where it is?"
"Yup, come with me."
It turned out, I was in the wrong building. On the way to our destination, Lance and I tried to catch up with each other's events. We reached the cafeteria at about five minutes.
I took a trey then got in line and I noticed Lance did so, too.
"You have a free period?" I asked
"Uhuh. Mind if I join you?"
"Nope."
I got salad, mashed potatoes, an apple, and a large Coke in a bottle.
Lance and I took a table then sat, placing our treys on the table.
"So, you were telling me that you're living with Chad..." he pursued our topic before
"Oh, right. Well, my parents weren't home and so is Kyle and somehow, Chad managed to make my parents and his parents agree to let him stay at our house."
"Where's he sleeping?"
"Guest room. Don't worry, nothing ever happened." I smirked as Lance eyed me suspiciously.
"I promise!" I defended
Just then, another person took a chair and sat at our table.
"Talking about me?"
I sighed deeply.
"Hey dude," Lance greeted as Chad nodded towards him. "Hey Kaylee," he grinned at me.
I decided not to look and greet Chad since I remembered about his little stunt at leaving me in the hallways.
"So Lance, you were saying about Saturday?" I lied
I know Lance enough to know that he could catch up with me easily.
"Oh, right. Well, I was asking if we could go have a coffee or something."
Chad eyed us curiously
"That'd be great." I smiled at him
"Kaylee.." Chad spoke up
"What time?" I suddenly said, cutting Chad
"Around 9 would be good." Lance smiled back
"Come on! You're not talking to me now?" Chad waved at my face
"Oh, wait. Did you hear that Lance? I think someone's talking. Someone who LEFT ME DOWN THE HALLWAYS to go to the bathroom for a MINUTE but didn't come back? Am I just hearing things?" I asked
