hoeforxuxi (youtuber) made a video about everything wrong with koreaboos and she is so fucking right and i love her so, i'll let you part of what she said here:
being interested on korea doesn't make u a koreaboo
she mentioned: want to learn korean, visit korea one day, try some korean styles, make up, being interested on korea's culture, doing finger hearts doing a cover of a kpop song, or something else like that, doesn't make you a koreaboo. a koreaboo is someone who is obsessed with Korean culture so much they denounce their own culture and call themselves korean.
everything wrong with koreaboos:
1. they disrespect korean culture and asian culture in general.
2. they are so cringey.
3. they humiliate the kpop fandoms and give kpop fans a bad reputation.
4. koreaboos think they know Korean culture bc of kpop music.
5. they fetishize koreans and asians in general. (actually a better word for this point is they stereotype korean and asian people in general)
6. it's unhealthy for the kboos.
I have to say I'm totally agree with all this like, she took the words out of my mouth.
