Chapter 3: One step to Victory

Ace woke up and looked at his phone. "No response from Melody..." He sighed and got ready and headed to the VR tournament. Him and the rest of the club logged into Grim Online.  Ace looked at the tournament status and saw a Username called 'Unknown' "Hey Ivy whats with that Unknown user" He said closing the menu "I heard he defeated the strongest girl in the game" She looked at her weapons "its sad to hear that the girl died as soon as she died" she looked at Ace "I think she died because of her illness but who knows" She said as she equipped her sword and sniper. Ace heard a girl screamed "BLANK!" His eyes widened as he look to see Melody running into the room and hugged him "Phew I made it in time" said Melody "Hey....Ten" he smiled as he hugged back. Melody smacked him "For calling me by my username would give me a better chance to beat you in the tournament" she crossed her arms "WAIT MELODY" Ace screamed "Why enter the tournament?!" he asked "Because so i can beat you and make sure you don't die!" she screamed as virtual tears fell. "It's just a game" said Ivy as she walked into the tournament area. Ace sighed. "Welp see ya on the battlefield Mel" Ace smirked and ran to catch up to Ivy. "Yeah..." Melody smirk "We can now see who the strongest Ace" Melody and 4 other girls walked into the tournament and they was teleport  into the battlefield Ace ran and took out 3 people at start using his sword. Ace and the other club members set up a camp and Ace stood guard. The next in-game morning they all ran into Unknown and his team. Ace grabbed his pistol and aimed it at Unknown as Unknown and his team aimed their shotguns and RPG's at Ace. "Shoot, and you die in a second" said Unknown as he smirked. Ace put his Pistol away as Unknown shot. Ivy used her assault rife to kill Unknown team then shoot the bullet into a tree. Ace sliced Unknown leaving him in half heath. Ace sliced him again and before he died He shot Ivy and He died. Ivy fell as Ace grabbed Ivy and she smiled at him "Win Ace....Now I can be with my sister..." she died in the game and in a second disconnected. Ace eyes widened. Ace lead him and his team to victory but before they could win They head to face. Melody. Ace's Team fell dead by a sniper as Melody walked in with one other player. "Lets duel...Melody" Ace smirked as he took out the player. Melody spawned her sword as Ace did the same. "One swordsman one swords woman" Ace said with a serious look. "We made a deal about this duel along time ago now we can keep the deal" she said in a fighting pose. Ace closed his eyes and remembered Ivy last words then opened them. Melody and Ace charged at each other. Clash after clash. Ace had 10 heath points when Melody had 40 heath points. Ace charged at Melody. Melody went to stab Ace but Ace at the last second dodged swiftly and stabbed Melody in the head. Melody's character died and Ace won. Ace logged out inside the lobby after collecting the 30% of the reward and ran to Ivy's house. Ivy's father anwsered and pointed to Ivy's room. Ace ran into Ivy room and saw Ivy body. Ace felt for a pulse. Nothing. Ivy Father called for a Doctor. After 10 minutes the Doctor walked out. "She is dead" said the Doctor and left. Ace looked down. Blamed himself. Wished for a restart. But Ace heard Ivy "Don't Feel Bad Ace" He looked up and saw Ivy and hugged her. "Idiot" She smiled and hugged back. After 2 minutes The doctor left and Ivy walked Ace home. "Hey Ace..." she looked down. "Yeah Ivy" he looked at her with a confusion look. Ivy stopped walking as Ace did a few steps in front of her. "I Like you!" said Ivy nervously.  Ace smiled and kissed Ivy. The next day Ivy and Ace was asked if they were dating by the whole game club. They both confirmed that they were dating and Ace, Ivy, and the game club logged into Ultracore and Ace helped them get to level 50. After 4 hours of gaming Ace walked Ivy home and headed home.
