(A/N: So I haven't really ever wrote fantiction so I ain't sure if I'll write more of the same ship, I'll see if I can figure something out.)

"You should be greatful!  Family means everything, even if you doubted them!"  Hanzo has heard these word countless times constantly spiraling in and out his head, each time being equally frustrating. As of recent days Genji,  Hanzo's presumed dead brother, had risen from the grave but not in a way  that would have ever crossed his mind. Genji was now the physical of a robot, a machine, his brother was now a machine. Hanzo did not take light heartedly to his brothers surprise reunion, he has spent years mourning since the time of his brothers demise.... one of which that he never discussed to a soul of Overwatch. The relationship between the two clansmen was never the most sturdy but from afar they seemed like any other sibling duo, not the case here. Nothing could convince the archer to ever forgive such a betrayal.

The water glistened aginst the pale, moonlit sky dusted with stars as far as the eye could see. Waves crashed as the sea met the land with only a small breeze developing in the air, salty but soothing. Hanzo sat upon the platform on the docking area, legs crossed and eyes closed with the only noise he heard was his breathing. Well, it was until someone decided to break the silence. "Whatcha doin' there darlin'?" Hanzo whipped his head backwards with a sharp reflex directing his full attention to the sudden source of intrusion. The voice was a thick western accent with a tinge of rust at the hilt of evey sentence. Hanzo was no stranger towards this voice as it was once he heard often, not by choice but he could recognise it in a heartbeat. Jesse McCree.

The cowboy was no stranger Hanzo for they have had many encounters before hand, maybe not pleasant, but none the less they had met before. McCree was standing only a few feet behind the Hanzo with his side learning on a pole near the start of the port,"Do you wish to inform me of something or simply disturb my peace?" Hanzo shot a cold reply directly to McCrees face. "Disturb us peace? Oh no Mr Shimada I came looking for ya." McCree slowly waltzed his way next to Hanzo, making himself comfortable beside the stern man. The distance between the two was enough to break the ice but still made Hanzo quite uncomfortable, there was just an aura that radiated from McCree that just sent chills around his body. "Now I pardon myself for this but I've noticed ya'll haven't been on top game since ol' metal  head paid ya a visit." It was scary how accurate McCrees vision was sometimes, starting into Hanzo's mind with a piercing gaze that made him feel like he was looking through a kalidescope. Hanzo grunted, facing towards the sea with a strong shift in attitude "Do not mock me on my relationship with my Genji. I mourned his death for years and now he expects me to welcome him bak with open arms. Dishonorable." A soft chuckle from McCree emerged within the midst of his sentence. "I guess I can't argue with that. But ya'll needn't talk to me like th-" "I will answer how I want!" Hanzo cut McCree of before he could finish.

The mood is the air damped quickly with both the men pausing quietly for a minute, both looking endlessly at the sea. "I see you're pained Hanzo. I may not be the sharpest shooter when it comes to weapons but I know a trouble parter when I see one." Hanzo glanced over slightly at the cowboy, the smoke from his cigar leaving a familiar musk in the air. "But maybe ya need to loosen up a bit, sure your brother expects such things of ya but no one changes so fast. Just like how whiskey doesn't change its flavour the next day even if you've drank it before." Somehow that made more sense than it should have. Sure, McCree wasn't the brightest person Hanzo could have spoken to but he was very down to earth, it's a little comforting to Hanzo knowing someone could understand his complex state. "Hah.... You're smarter than you look cowboy." "Was that a compliment or an insult darlin'?" Hanzo smirked and chuckled under his breath, still lod enough for McCree to notice. Hanzo usually never showed much emotion around Jesse so it was a new side of him that he was showing about. "Well if I'm enough to make ya smile then you'll fix your problems in no time." McCree rose from Hanzo's side, tilting his hat up with a calm expression masking his face whilst exhaling more smoke from his mouth. "I'm glad we got to a little chattin' Hanzo." McCree spun on his heels and walked off towards the start of the docks, turning a corner towards to walk to the main headquarters. Hanzo felt a feeling in his chest that he hadn't felt in quite a while, consolance. A warm flame was burning deep in his upper chest making him feel at ease, leave it up to Jesse McCree to turn the mood of the stern mannered Hanzo Shimada.

With a calm smile he glanced over his shoulder, watching as the western man shifted away ever so slightly "As I am glad too Jesse." McCree paused for a moment spinning for a split second to lock a gaze with Hanzo, "Don't hear ya calling me by my first name ever, what's up with that darlin'?" Hanzo, realising the error of his sentence snapped away from McCrees stare with a warm red colour threating to invade his face. "I-I am sorry! I will seat my manners.... it won't happen again" Hanzo replied in a half-hearted tone, his heart was beating fast enough that he could hear it but not enough to drown out the reply he would receive.   "Nah I like it. Why don'tcha call me that more often hm?" McCree swiftly left before Hanzo could construct a proper reply leaving the man in a flusteted state of confusion. Hanzo decided he would need to come to terms with these odd feelings he felt around the cowboy letting out a warm breath as he lost himself in his though plagued with McCrees words as he started back out at the ocean, smiling silently as he felt the heat from the flame burn through him.
