Chapter 1- The Interview

A tick was heard in the dimly lit room. The glare of the over used light fixture bounced off the window, which only revealed the beaten face of a girl. The tick was mesmerizing it soothed the girls mind. She knew it was only the clock on the wall next to her, but it felt like a soothing embrace of her "father". Her spine shivered at the thought of him. The door clicked in the distance, as she then looked up at the steel door swinging open slowly.
   There he was, an officer. She slightly enjoyed his company after being alone for 16 years. She was shocked by the way he looked. He had dark brown hair, and blue clothing. He didn't look very friendly but, any help he had for her she  would accept.Then something caught her  eye, something shiny,she never saw anything that shiny.
Except for the time her father.... nevermind. The shiny object had words she could not quit make out.Then as he got closer the words said,"Officer Dunn."
