What Just Happend?

The expedition didn't go well for the scouting legion. They came back with over half their men dead. It wasn't any better when they went out but they never expected this to happen. People gathered around them as they made their way back to HQ. The cadets were traumatized and would mourn for days over their fallen brothers.

People started booing them, they threw things and screamed insults. Captain Levi was about to throw up. He had never seen so much death at once in his whole life. The only thing he has known is death and this still scares him. He couldn't help but be paranoid that he was next. He didn't pay attention to the crowd, he just assumed they were saying the same things they always do. He kept his hood up to hide his fear but the other cadets were scared for not themselves selves but for Levi. As soon as the crowd saw him they went quiet only to start screaming for Levi to die, they said they wished for him to get eaten by a titan. Eren was disgusted with the crowd for giving his crush such crap. The crowd followed what little of them were left. Eren looked at Levi who had hurt his leg for the second time trying to save Eren. Eren had had enough so he did something without thinking. (for the second time)

"SHUT UP! ALL OF YOU JUST SHUT UP!" The crowd went quiet. Levi seemed to have jumped at the sound of Eren's powering voice. He looked back at him as everyone stopped and fell silent. Levi turned and looked at Eren. Then all the noise from before had registered in his head. He had a slight surprised look on his face but he slightly bit his bottom lip and didn't show fear. He made eye contact with Eren. Eren started yelling again.

He turned to the crowd and opened his mouth to yell.

"COWARDS, ALL OF YOU ARE COWARDS. LEVI HAS DONE NOTHING BUT RISK HIS LIFE TO GIVE YOU PEOPLE BETTER ONES, TO SAVE YOUR LOVED ONES LIVES! ALL OF US HAVE...AND ALL YOU PEOPLE WANT TO DO IS WISH US DEAD AND THROW THINGS AT US WHEN WE ARE TO WEAK TO FIGHT BACK! HOW ABOUT ALL YOU SIGN UP AND TAKE HIS PLACE IF YOU WANT HIM DIE SO BADLY!" Armin touched Eren's shoulder to tell him to calm down. He shut up realizing what he did, but no one moved or made a sound. Levi stared at Eren with a confused look. Eren looked at him, no, past him with a shocked looked. Levi turned to see what he was staring at and saw something unexpected. People in black cloaks and masks using 3DM gear heading right toward him and fast. He hesitated for a second until someone yelled.

"WATCH OUT!" At this levi ducked as one of the cloaked people swung at him with a sword. Panic spread through soldiers and civilians as everyone started screaming and running. Levi whipped the rains of his horse and started, fast, forward. More and more people came at him. He pulled out his sword and blocked the one at his right at the cost of losing his only blade that he had left. Then out of the corner of his eye he saw someone with something small and shiney in their hand. He pulled on the reigns and his horse halted and turned the other direction. He looked behind him for a second. He suddenly felt the horse stop. Within a second he was bucked off of the horses back and into the air. Someone had stabbed his horse and he could see it bleed out on the ground making choking sounds. With his hurt leg he wouldn't be able to land without getting hurt. He closed his eyes and waited to hit the ground. When he didn't feel an impact and instead something pulled him sideways, he opened his eyes and realized someone had caught him. He was sitting in the person's lap facing sideways. The persons large, but gentle hand was on his waist while the other one steered the horse forward. Levi looked up to see Eren's face. He was surprised and was about to say something when Eren spoke as he turned around from quickly looking behind them.

"Hang on!" He shouted over the chaos. Levi felt the horse jolt forward as Eren put both hands on the reigns. By instinct he put his hand on Eren's broad shoulders and pulled himself closer to Eren's chest until he pressed his head against Eren. Eren tried not to blush, even a little, at the smaller man's close contact. Eren knew Levi was in pain so he tried to go as fast as he could without hurting the small corporal even more. Levi lifted his head to look around and noticed someone about to shoot at Eren.
