do you ever just think about how complex of a character jason grace is
i mean. think about it.
boy was abandoned at like two (2) or three (3) years old and given to a wOLF to become a warrior!! at two/three years old!! he was a TODDLER, and he was taught not to show weakness, not to question anything - to act like a robot, basically. y'all could NOT do that when you were two. nobody could.
from the very beginning of his childhood, he was taught to not show emotion or be weak, and was aBANDONED BY HIS MOTHER WITHOUT EXPLANATION WHICH WOULD CLEARLY HAVE A TOLL ON HIS MENTAL HEALTH THROUGHOUT LIFE?? HELLO RIORDAN, CARE TO ACKNOWLEDGE THIS AT LEAST ONCE IN YOUR BOOKS?? he grew up thirteen years at a camp where they taught literal children to be soldiers??
and he was only kept alive to become a weapon. he knows that. he only exists so he can kill the enemies and his father can brag. that's it. imagine?? knowing?? that??
at some point at chb piper or leo probably said something like "it's okay to show emotion, u know dumbass" and he would just go "?????" becauSE HE WAS RAISED TO BELIEVE THAT SHIT
he would probably have abandonment issues?? he would be ashamed of showing emotion??
why does everyone in the pjo fandom ignore that?
rick is a coward and can't write a character that complex plus in hoo all of the "macho men" don't show any emotions that aren't associated with masculinity and those are the facts lads
