I woke up the next morning early in the morning, around 4:45. Why am I up this early? If only I knew the answer to that question. I stretched and returned to a fetus position covered by my sheets. Thats weird, its cold in my room in the middle of summer. I guess mom turned the AC on. I found my phone under my pillow and turned it on. The light blinded my eyes and I quickly turned the brightness down. Still half asleep i checked my social media sights blindly scrolling through. My eyes began to close so I locked my phone burying my face into my soft pillow. My alarm went off and I groaned as I got up to get ready for school.
Quickly i threw on a shirt and shorts, guessing it would be a hot day, and started to do the rest of my homework that was due today. Yes, I am a professional procrastinator get at me.
By the time i finished my homework it was about 6:13. I grabbed my things and headed downstairs to eat breakfast. I know what your thinking, ‘Its only 6:00 am, why are you getting up so early?’ Well my friend, school were I live starts at 7:00 ‘wuuuuuuuut????’ Yup. Anyways I ate my usual breakfast, toast and eggs and headed out the door saying my farewells to my parents and grandparents. Walking to school was something I loved, I was able to have some free time to listen to my music without people asking me questions every 10 seconds, I loved peace. A mayday parade song played and I was instantly reminded of my thoughts from last night.
Why cant he just leave my mind, I seriously did not need him distracting me from my priorities.
As I walked I noticed the gray sky. It was an even shade of gray around the darker clouds. I sighed and hoped it wouldn’t rain. Just as I thought that i felt a small drop of water hit my forehead, i looked up and a few more hit my head. Next thing i know its pouring. Why didn't I bring a freaking jacket!?!?!? Ugh stupid Cammy. So I walked in the rain shivering and soaked. I stared at the ground in shame of my stupidity. Suddenly I felt the rain stop, the weird thing was, was that I could still hear and see the rain. I looked up greeted by a young man my age holding an umbrella.
“Hey! What are you doing walking in the rain?” the man asked. He was tall, like 5 11' tall. He had beautiful blue eyes that I did not want to trust. His lean structure yet muscular had me drooling on the inside.
“Umm, I didn't know it was going to rain when I left, soo yeah here i am,” I replied trying to keep my cool.
“I can't leave a pretty girl like you walking in the rain by herself its not gentleman like to. Do you mind if i walk you to your destination?”
“Uhh, I think I'm good.”
“Are you sure, I wouldn't want anyone to take advantage of you..”
“Fine, but how do I know you're not going to take advantage of me?”
“I'll give you my word or you can punch me where it would hurt any man.”
“Deal.”
Why did i just agree to this? I barely know this man…
“So, where to?"
"School."
“Really? What a coincidence, I'm on my way to school too.”
“Wow.”
We walked in silence and we approached my high school. It was still pouring and the wind began to pick up speed. We arrived at about 6:55. Right on time.
“I better go to class now, bye?"
“Let me walk you to class at least,” he suggested.
“I don't even know your name,” I argued.
