*Miku's POV*
You know what time it is?
LUNCHTIME!
And you know what that means...
EVERYONE EATS OUTSIDE!
Yup that's right! Mr. Kiyoteru said that from now on during lunch, students get to eat outside, whether they want to or they can stay indoors if they want. But me and Teto would obviously go outside. We're those kind of people as you can tell.
It was pretty sunny outside but no one seemed too worried about it. There were clouds littering the sky which made the sky look like a desert of white sand. Teto said that the clouds looked like marshmallows packed together. I giggled a little. I could sort of see what she means.
Teto bought a gigantic baguette for lunch while I bought leeks. Many other students had bought lunch too. Kaito, a very good friend of mine, surprisingly was able to bring ice cream. He walked over to me and gave me a small cup of leek - flavored ice cream. I blushed a little and said,"Thank you." He said,"No problem." He smiled and walked away.
"Is he your boyfriend?" Teto asked, a smug look on her face. I quickly answered,"Um... what are you talking about? He's just a friend that's all." I heard my voice shake a little.
"Yeah, sure..." She said. She definitely knew I had a crush on him. (YA DON'T SAY?)
*Teto's POV*
She totally has a crush on him. It's not that hard to tell. I remember back when me and Ted were at another school, he fell in love with a girl. I could never remember her name, but for some reason Miku would always remind me of her. Don't know why though... Anyways, every time Ted saw that girl his voice would shake. Growing up with that sort of tone has made me tell of someone likes a person. I would always tease him by saying "You like her, don't you Ted?" He always answered "No" but in the 'I-seriously-have-a-crush-on-that-person' tone.
All my thoughts carried me away until I suddenly heard Miku say "Earth to Teto, can you hear me. I suddenly snapped out of it and answered "Just thinking about...stuff..."
"Hey! You with the tornado hair!" called a feminine voice. I turned around and saw what looked like a girl. She had what looked like a dress except it looked detached. She wore mostly purple and had a small top hat with a veil to go with it. Her hair was flaming red shade and her eyes were purple that faded into green.
"Yeah, I'm talking to you," she called out."Come here for a second."
I did as she said and walked towards her. She was about my height.
"You must be new here, right?" she asked, an evil smile on her face."Now what's the name?"
"Um... Teto." I started."Kasane Teto, to be exact. And you are?"
She laughed."Why, my name's Namine Ritsu. I'm probably one of the best singing UTAUloids on earth."
"So what did you call me for?" I asked.
"Isn't it obvious? I called you here for a Sing-Off."
I stared at her, gaping at what she said. A Sing-Off against her. I'm hardly that good at singing and my voice is too robotic. This probably won't end well...
"Well, do you accept?" she held her hand out.
I hesitated for a moment. Then I realized that everyone was staring at us. I didn't know what to say or do. If I accepted I'd lose for sure, but if I declined I'd be an embarrassment to everyone. So I made my choice.
"I accept your challenge." I held my hand out to shake hers.
Out of nowhere, a blue screen appeared in front of us that had a list of songs from A to Z. There were too songs many to count.
"Shall I go first?" she asked.
"Um... sure."
She looked through the R's and chose a song called "+REVERSE". She pressed it and the blue pixels that came from the song she chose flew into her heart to her head and once she opened her mouth she started singing and music started playing.
I was completely shocked. She sung with such expression and she was clutching her heart like her song ment something.
After about to minutes her song ended with a "Dakara"(which means 'so' in Japanese) and the music stopped. This isn't good. Her singing is way better than mine! I wouldn't stand a chance! But I'll try to at least do my best. The blue screen appeared in front of us again. I didn't know which song to choose. I looked through the Y's this time and found a song called "Yoshiwara Lament" and decided to choose it.
*Ritsu's POV*
Ha! I sung so good she wouldn't even sing as well as me. But of course I'm doing this because Mr. Kiyoteru told me to. He wanted me to test her to see if she's really up to attending this academy. Though, she still won't beat me at singing.
I saw that she chose a song called "Yoshiwara Lament". Wait... wasn't that the song about a lonely woman or something? Well I can't remember. I never really sang that song. I only heard it a few times. But the song is pretty good so I'm sure she'll do good as well.
She started singing and music started playing. Her voice didn't sound as robotic as I thought. Suddenly, her outfit turned into a yukata as she sang. That never happened to anyone before! Did she use some sort of magic or what? WHAT KIND OF WIZARDRY IS THIS?!
She finished the song after saying "Watashi wa ame" (I am the rain) and everyone clapped. They were all saying how good she was and they cheered.
*Teto's POV*
I looked at everyone. They were cheering for me. Then my yukata changed back into my normal outfit. How did that happen? Before I could think, Ritsu walked over to me. She said,"Well Teto, looks like you can last in this school long enough to graduate." She pulled one of my ponytails."Hey!" I said angrily."That hurt!" Then I thought about something for a moment and asked,"Um... could you be my friend?" She answered,"Sure! I don't get many friends that are girls."
"Why? Are you a tomboy or what?" I said.
"I'm not a tomboy. I'm an actual boy."
"W-what?! You? A boy? But you have boobs! Are those even boobs?!"
"Missiles." He said."I'm a war machine. Six years old, 25 tons, male cross dresser, need I say more?" He looked a little displeased."To summarize what I said, I'm not human." (A/N no one in this story is XD)
"Well, I'm not completely human either. I'm a chimera."
He looked at me."You still want to be friends with me even though I'm a war machine and you're a chimera?"
"Everyone can be friends with anyone they want right?"
"I guess..."
I pulled him in for a hug. He blushed and hugged me back.
He seemed so lonely...

Wow I just realized how long this chapter is compared to the other 2...
The next chapter probably won't be as long as this one but it will include a little more action though I can't guarantee it...
