A/N: Please note that I do not condone anything that has happened in any of these fics. It's all just fanfiction. I do not own Bungou Stray Dogs, any of its characters, or the picture.
Yandere warning: obsessive jealousy
He watched you from under the brim of his fedora.
Watched you smile that radiant smile.
Watched you laugh that infectious laugh.
Watched you interact with everyone so incredibly, infuriatingly sweetly.
The way you looked at everyone was so kind, so warm. Why couldn't you only look at him that way? Why couldn't you pay attention to him alone?
Sure, you were already his girlfriend, but as Chuuya became increasingly aware of the glances shot your way by other men, his satisfaction with the position declined. He wanted more. He wanted to leave possessive love bites all over you, wanted to keep you leashed to his side so that you could never stray from him, wanted to kill anyone who looked at you or tried to take you away from him.
He knew you were only being your usual friendly self, that you would never betray him and that the time you spent away from his side didn't really mean anything, but still, something about the way other people felt like they could waste your time, selfishly hoard your company, annoyed him.
That annoyance festered, rotting, corrupting, warping until what was left was a wrathful monster devoid of morals and rationale, a monster who would do anything to keep his treasure close...even if it meant hurting that treasure in the process.
"(Y/n)."
Your eyes opened lifelessly at the sound of your name, the paleness of your cheeks akin to the wilted petals of a flower cut off from sunlight.
"Look at me." It was a plea and a threat, a demand and a prayer, all wrapped up in one soft phrase whispered against the shell of your ear.
Shifting in his lap, you turned to face the red-haired male who purred in delight at your submissiveness. A finger pressed under your chin, tilting your face up to his.
"Tell me again, (y/n). Who do you belong to?"
"You, Chuuya. I belong to you."
"That's right," he chuckled, the sound deep and rumbling. Leaning forward, his lips brushed against yours, the movement deceivingly affectionate. Wrapping his arms around you, he flipped you onto your shared bed, his body hovering over yours. Burying his face in the crook over your neck, he trailed languid kisses up the side of your throat, leaving the occasional love bite as he went. "You know that I love you, right (y/n)?"
"...Yes."
His affections ceased, your momentary pause not unnoticed. Grey eyes looked up, wide and alarmed. "(Y/n)...you're not...you're not thinking I don't love you, are you? I love you more than anything, (y/n)! I would raze the entire world for you! I would kill anyone for you!" He didn't even give you a chance to reply, his voice rising as his rant continued. Pale hands clutched your shoulders, panicked and desperate. "Everything I do is out of my love for you!" he roared, eyes crazed.
"I know, Chuuya." Reaching up, your hand cupped his cheek, unafraid. "I believe you." His hand covered yours as if he was reaffirming your existence. You watched as his breathing eased, his shoulders loosening.
"(Y/n)."
"Yes?"
"...If I did something horrible, what would you do? Would you hate me?"
Just like that, the ice became a whole lot thinner. Each question was a test, the answers to which had been carved into your being with beguiling words and too-pleased smirks. You barely needed to think of the right response anymore, he had asked you these questions so many times.
"No, I could never hate you, Chuuya."
"What if I hurt you? Would you hate me then?"
"No."
"Why?"
"Because you would never hurt me."
"That's right, (y/n), but what if I hurt someone you cared about? Then would you hate me?"
"No."
"Why?" You looked him in the eye, the words he wanted to hear ready on your tongue.
"Because you're the only one I care about Chuuya."
"Yes, that's right, (y/n)! Your love, concern, anger, hate; give me all of it! Look only at me!" A wide smile stretched across his face, his pupils shrinking to mere pin-pricks. His voice was quiet, filled with excitement as he laid down next to you, arms pulling you tight to his chest like some treasured toy he didn't want to lose. You closed your eyes, a simple escape from the madness holding you close. At this point, you could barely remember what he'd been like before, what you had originally fallen in love with.
Eventually, the quiet cackles that filled your shared room died away, replaced by labored breathing as Chuuya became serious once more. His chest was so warm you could feel yourself falling asleep.
"(Y/n)."
You didn't open your eyes, a soft hum leaving your closed lips instead. Before you could slip into the fog of drowsiness, his last demand echoed through your mind, stamping his name onto your dreams.
"...Never leave my side."
"...Yes."
A/N: And done! Now I have to tackle my long list of requests, haha...ngh.
