Once In A Lifetime (One Direction fanfic)

"Haley! Haley! wake up!" i shouted

"noooo, five more minutes" she groaned and turned her back towards me,

"no, now!" i replied and she ignored me dropping back to sleep

"isn't she up yet?" i heard from behind me and turned around to see Jayna come hastily into the room, i shook my head

"nope, i've been trying with no luck"

Jayna sighed, "Haley, don't you know what day it is?"

still no luck, "ok, i was hoping it wouldn't come to this" i sighed then shouted again "oh my god! One Direction!"

Next thing Haley shot up in bed "where?!"

"hey, you're up!" i said, a smile plastering across my face, and she looked at me giving me the look she often does that says "if you weren't my best friend, you'd be dead right now"

i just laughed and turned to Jayna, noticing she was fully dressed made me realise that i wasn't, "right, clothes" i said as i grabbed my clothes that were laid out on my bed and walked to the bathroom.

Today was the day we'd been planning for a while, our road trip. 

Haley and Jayna were two of my closest friends that i'd made from a certain social networking site called Twitter, although we lived quite a while away from each other, different sides of the world to be exact, we'd been making these plans not ever knowing that one day they'd actually happen. We'd planned to go on a roadtrip across the UK, starting in my hometown of Liverpool and travelling to some of the places we'd like to visit most, and obviously, our favourite boy band, One Direction was somewhat involved in all of this. 

We'd planned on travelling from Liverpool to Holmes Chapel which was closest, then over to Yorkshire (specifically Bradford and Doncaster), down to Wolverhampton, then finally to London for a while, and from there  we planned on getting a flight over to Ireland and travel to Mullingar.

Our other friends Sara and Ali, who we also met from Twitter, were coming as well, Haley and Jayna were staying at my house, and Ali and Sara were staying at my aunty's house which was around the corner as there wasn't much room at mine and we'd all agreed it'd be comfier that way.

The closer the day came, the more excited we all became, and right now, i have no clue about the others, but i felt like i was gonna explode!

Then I heard a bang on the bathroom door knocking me out of my daydream, "Stacey, hurry up in there! i know this is your house and all but i need to get ready too!" I opened the door and walked out, as soon as i did Haley shot past me, "thanks" she said quickly and locked the door behind her.

"welcome" i called back and walked back into my bedroom which i was currently sharing,

"do you feel as though you're going to explode right now or is it just me?" Jayna asked as I walked in

"no, it's not just you" I said laughing and walked over to the full length mirror "i may look calm but my heart rate is going a million miles an hour right now!"

She laughed as well "ok good, not good that your heart rate's going that fast, but good that you're just as excited as i am"

"i know what you meant" i replied laughing again and pulled my hair up into a lose ponytail as it wasn't behaving itself today.

"Oh my god, dudes!"

I turned to face Haley who'd just come running into the room,

"what?!"

"we're going on the freaking roadtrip today!"

"oh my god, i know!"

"I've been waiting for this for so long!" Jayna said practically jumping up and down, 

"me too! but first, food"

"ok, come on then" i said walking past them both and headed downstairs, they both followed me quickly into the kitchen. I was the first one to walk in and when i did, i saw a figure standing there, arms crossed, serious look on their face making me practically jump out of my skin. 

"Sara, please don't make me jump like that!"

"Explain to me again why i can't come with yous" my sister, also called Sara, said quickly

"because, 1; you're too young to be coming on a road trip lasting this long and you'd be my responsibility. And 2; there's not enough room in the car"

"i can look after myself you know, and couldn't you have gotten a bigger car"

"you're still too young, and it's not worth getting a bigger car."

She just pulled a face at me and i shook my head then helped myself to some toast for breakfast, and the others helped themselves to what they wanted.

When we'd all finished we ran around getting last minute things we needed for the trip then threw everything in the boot of the car, then we went in to collect our jackets and stuff.

Sara was just standing in the hallway watching everything we were doing, when i finished what i was doing i put my arms out to her "come here" i said and hugged her, "you can come with us next time."

"promise?" she replied raising her eyebrows at me

"promise" i smiled, "now don't be having any wild parties and stuff, and mum and dad will be back first thing tomorrow."

She rolled her eyes at me "i wont, and i know! now go"

I laughed and walked out to the others who were already getting comfortable in the car, Haley in the passenger's seat, Jayna in the back, then i got in the drivers seat and waved over to Sara who was now standing in the doorway,

"bye, i'll call you when we get to Holmes Chapel!" i called over and she nodded and the other two waved goodbye as well then she shut the door and i looked down at my phone and texted Ali quickly

"on our way, be there in a sec :) xx"

"yanno what would be funny?" Jayna said poking her head through the middle of the front seats

"what?" Haley and I said together

"if we met One Direction at some point on our trip"

"yeah, sure, as if we're going to meet them" Haley replied laughing,

"i know, i really doubt we will" i said laughing as well

"just a thought" Jayna said and sat back again putting her seatbelt on. 

We put ours on as well, then i started the car up and pulled away, setting us off on the unknown adventure that lay ahead of us.
