Before me thou dost stand,
Rigid-
Of sick and simple mind,
Burdened by demented love,
Thou endurest the anguish of thy romance,
From which I take eagerly,
Decadence-
A simple and weak thought,
Cast in the gems of thine eyes,
"Keep not thy heart trappèd,
Open up to those around thee"
As if there could a bright mind posses,
To utter such nonsense,
Such elementary beliefs shan't carry thy self-indicted burden

Dost thou relish thy sentence?
Hath thou endurèd a blissful recompense?
I chide such idiocy

And here thou loose thy tears,
Wellèd from thine eyes,
Thy love a torment to bear-
A prisoner of love,
Thy imprisoned emotions left to atrophy,
To decay-
As hath thee been deserted all the same,
Ousted from a corrupt utopia,
Falsely wielded by a misinterpreted God,
As have I,
The Black Man of the forest

I need freedom,
Tho such a folly,
To think of leaving,
Only to lose a chance,

A culprit so nigh to my gnarled fingers,

Near discovery,
A foolish idea indeed

O' foolish woman,

Thou art so reluctant to disclose

O' wretched woman,

Thou seek'st retribution in lieu of revenge

O' wilted woman,

Thy blossoms hath atrophied,
They hath fallen from thy bosom,

And Womanhood-

From thy fingertips,
Torn-
From thy grasp,
Loosed-
From thy body,
Diminishèd-
From thy soul,
Replacèd-

'Tis no more than a fond mem'ry,
The richness of thy youth,
Now no more than a taste that hath left thy mouth long ago,
An acrid existence remaining

I cast thee aside

I have no quarrel of thee,
Solely thy actions,
They tantalize me,
Thy scornful actions,
Which hath deserted thee on the shoulder of the bank,

Adjacent to a womanhood abandoned,
A

side no longer within thy grasp

I shan't have want of thy songbird,
Thy songbird of a scandalous affair,

I shan't take thy solit'ry ray of sunshine,
Thy ray of sunshine birthed from adultery

Bequeath thy lover,
Me-
Loose thy odious companion,
Lest I walk the earth,
Void of peace

How canst thou,
Ostracize a scholar?
One which hath given thee,
Their body,

To have?-

To hold?-

To disregard the bond,
Of matrimony?-

The ties of joy?

The gifts bestowèd upon thee?
How canst thou?
Thou cannot
