"You ready for this?" A blonde woman asked the man to her left, Lucas Pax. He ran his steady hand through his brown hair and nodded. Not an inch of him quavered. It was as if he'd done that exchange a thousand times. Besides, he invested too much time in it to have second thoughts or show nervousness. Being the body guard of a female terrorist and psychopath required a lot of balls. He did a lot to gain her trust, even if it was only a small taste of it. Doors across the empty and neglected room squeaked open. The woman faced forward with a vitriolic grin and raised the cellular device to her ear before speaking softly, almost in audibly, "Bring it out."

A man walked through an archway behind them with a briefcase, one with the numbers to a bank account off shore holding hundreds of millions of dollars. He gently placed it on the table in front of the Lucas and the woman and left just in time for their guests to appear from the shadows. Two burly men, with black ink covering their muscle bulging arms, stood on either sides of the man in the suit. The woman stepped in front of the table and kissed the man on both of his cheeks before speaking in a French, "Bonjour mon amour. Avez-vous le paquet?"

The man's lips spread from one ear to the other with his response, "Bonjour, Mademoiselle Evonne. Why don't we talk in English for your American friend, yeah?" He jerked his head towards Lucas, eyes scrutinizing the body guard up and down. Lucas switched weights on his feet as he breathed out heavily. "You seem nervous, Monsieur Cole," the man implied.

"I can assure you that my body guard is capable of speaking French, Marius. He is very experienced," Evonne hissed lowly, moving back behind the table beside Lucas. Three years later and the alias name Cole still sounded foreign to him. Three years and, despite the lies Lucas had to tell her, they made one hell of a team. She leaned on the table, eye twitching slightly as she asked Marius once more, "Do you have the package, or not?"

"I will bring it out when you-"

Evonne snatched the gun from Lucas' holster and shot the two men surrounding Marius right between their eyes. Marius and Lucas didn't flinch an inch. She set the gun on the table and breathed in deeply. Her blonde bangs fell over one of her crystal blue eyes. After a moment, she spoke, "I get what I want, when I want it. Comprendre, Monsieur Marius? Ou je te tuerai aussi. Je ne m'arrêterai pas tant que je ne serai lengend. I am not here to play petty games."

"Understood." Marius gulped and glanced at Lucas before continuing, "The package is in the back. Follow me."

Evonne smiled maliciously at Lucas and nodded for him to follow her and Marius. The woman obviously knew how to do business her own special way. He nodded and trailed behind the two as they walked through a door. The sunlight shining through the wide windows of the capacious garage blinded Lucas as they strolled to a black van. Marius opened it before disappearing inside. He came back out carrying a metal case. The case contained delicate codes that could result in a nuclear war and many countries in ruin. Evonne raised her chin slightly with a perked eyebrow, waiting for him to prove that they were real.

Once he pulled up the codes, Evonne couldn't help but smile some more before handing the case to Lucas. She leaned in and pecked the man's cheeks once more. "Thank you for your service, mon amour. Your country will remember your sacrifice," She whispered to Marius before slitting the man's neck with a small pocket knife she always carried. Evonne backed away with the blade. She examined it with a neutral look. "Oh, Cole. You are going to be part of something really exceptional," She proposed.

Without looking away from the case, she made her way back to the previous room. Lucas watched Marius fall to his knees. His hand covered his neck as blood spilled out. Not a minute passed before Marius was dead on the ground. Evonne called for Lucas to follow, so he did without an ounce of remorse for Marius. Evonne passed the table and disappeared under the archway. Lucas checked his watch before grabbing his handgun on the table and gently placing it back in his holster. It was time. They both left the briefcase on the table.
