-STILL SAME DAY-
Johnny had taken Annie to her classes so far. It was finally the bell for lunch. Carson had been waiting outside the classroom anxious to see Annie after what Johnny said. Annie and Johnny walked out laughing and then Annie saw Carson and She stood straight with a serious face.
Annie: Um.... Can I help you Cars?
Carson: Yes actually! Stay away from my best friend!
He rolls his eyes.
Johnny: Chill dude.
Carson: No because my best friend is hitting on my little sister and is probably gonna play her.
Johnny: I would NEVER do that to her... Can't believe you don't trust me anymore man...
Johnny walked away.
Carson: John! Wa-
Annie: Just leave him. Give him some time... As for you, you don't need to protect me from your best friend..
Carson: He's a bad boy though.. He does bad things... He could get you arrested or something... I don't want you to get taken away...again..
Annie hugged him.
Annie: Carson, trust me! I will never do anything crazy, ok?
Carson: Fine. Love you..
Annie: Love you too.
She kissed his cheek and walked into the cafeteria. She sat next to Johnny.
Annie: I'm sorry about Carson... He just doesn't want to loose me like he did 3 years ago...
Johnny: What happened?...
Annie: He never told you?
Johnny: No?
Annie: Well... After my little sister, Hayley, was born... Our parents started fighting and our dad abused us and... (Tries to hold back her tears) ,
Johnny: You don't have to finish..
Annie: No. I want to tell you.
Johnny: Ok..
Annie: He hurt my mom real bad and then they just decided to go their own ways and of course my dad took Carson cause he's a boy and the oldest. But for me and Hayley... We stayed back with our mom for 3 years. We weren't even able to CALL Carson... For that first year, I cried myself to sleep every night. Carson was my best friend... We did EVERYTHING together...
Annie didn't realize but a year fell down her cheek. Johnny wiped it with his thumb and then hugged her. She hugged back.
Loren: Ooooo!!! What's going on over here??😏
Annie: Nothing... Just talking about my past...
Loren: Oh. Sorry.
Annie: It's fine.
Annie looked at Carson and he had tears forming in his eyes. She knew what she was thinking about. She got up and walked over to him and told him to stand up. He did as told and then Annie have him a big hug. He hugged back. Everyone at the table awed. They laughed a little.
Annie: I love you. And I promise in a million years... That you are NEVER gonna lose me again, or Haybug, or mom. Ok?
Carson: Ok.. Love you too.
Madison: Y'all have the cutest brother, sister relationship!
Everyone laughs. Lunch ended and Annie and Johnny walked to their next class. In the middle of the class Annie got a text.
