After a long time, if you call a day long, Jungkook finally admitted it to himself. He liked Taegyeong.

No, actually, he really likes her.

Every time she walked past him or glanced in his way, his heart would pick up the pace and make him feel dizzy for the next hour. He recognized this feeling after a long tims; love. He was in love with her.

But, judging by their current situation, he could not afford to risk it. She literally hated him.

The incident where she actually saved him still made his palms sweaty and his heart beating faster.

She was amazing.

She was amazing in a way that she was strong against his bullyings. The difficult events that had been going on for her. And she still stood strong, going as far as trying her best to gain his forgiveness for punching him right in the nose.

Jungkook touched his aided nose, wincing slightly when it still hurt but not as much as last time. He thought of removing it because it looked pretty ugly on him, but seeing Taegyeong's worried face every time she faced his direction, he decided to keep it on.

But one thing, she was always with Jimin.

How was he going to deal with that?

He frowned at the thought of them being close together, especially when they were good friends. Jealousy bloomed in his chest, when coincidentally, he saw the two entering the school gates chatting animatedly together.

He looked down at them from the third storey window with envy, regret and guilt filling his poor heart.

He'd hurt her too much. It... was wrong to like her.

"You looked troubled." A voice spoke and Jungkook spun to see a close friend of his, Minghao. "What's got you so sad?"

"It's nothing," Jungkook murmured, his eyes discreetly travelling back to the two that had now entered the building. The prince then stood up unconsciously, wanting to go see the two 'accidentally' but Minghao stopped him by the arm.

"You're obviously disturbed. What's up?"

"I said it was nothing. Let me go."

Minghao's grip only tightened. "You haven't been picking up Minah's calls or even texting her. She came to me crying her eyes out and I know for one, that she barely cries when it comes to you because she likes you. What's wrong."

At that point Minghao was not even asking him, but demanding. Jungkook looked into his friend's eyes and made out the sincere worry in it. Huffing in defeat, he turned away and muttered softly.

"I like someone else."

For the first time, he did not want to look into someone's eyes. He was afraid. He was afraid to show his vulnerability and tell his secrets, even if it was his closest friend.

"What? Are you serious? Jeon Jungkook— Really liking someone else?" Minghao didn't judge, he was genuinely surprised, based on his raised eyebrows and widened eyes.

"Yeah."

"Who's the lucky girl?"

Of course. Who would not ask that question?

"...Kim Taegyeong."

"Did I hear right? I'm sure I dug my ears just this morning."

"You heard me."

"How— you know, I'm not even going to ask why. About time this toxic relationship of yours with Minah ends," Minghao grumbled as he facepalmed. "She's really annoying and does not know her space."
