THE BIRD AND THE WORM

"My tweet tweet flies over the mountain,

My tweet tweet flies under a tree,

My tweet tweet flies over the mountain,

Oh bring back my tweet tweet to me."

"So many birds in the sky

I only see one flying high

It's wings are small but tender.

Through winds that's strong and mightier. "

"Oh how can she fly so high"

Asked the worm with a very big sigh,

"How I wish to soar in the blue,

And see the world in better view."

How he hoped to see God's doing,

Out his ugly world and have one ride,

Even once will be enough to slide.

To satisfy his longing

"In the ground where dirt has lain

I see nothing but earthly pain

I taste in here a dirty rain,

And see a view of dusty plain."

"please don't cry oh little worm"

Said the bird and stoop to him.

"I don't want to see you squirm,

I'll take you high beyond the dim."

"I saw a land of clear green grass.

Where you may sit and watch me pass,

Without the worry of dirty rain.

Nor even see the dusty plain."

"Please take me there and there I'll stay.

Out of this world to the land of May.

Take me there and there I'll play

Where clear green grass and rivers lay."

And so the worm was filled with glee,

They flew away beyond the sea.

Where heights and domes and rivers see.

She took her out to skies of free.

Beyond the joy of the life owned worm,

There came a dark and mighty storm.

"Will we go further to unknown land?"

Asked the bird with the worm at hand.

"yes!" said the worm in bold reply.

"beyond the storm of cold, cold sky."

And so into the storm they went.

The surging wind and rain it sent.

The bird and the worm vanished deep

Within dark clouds of deadly steep.

To where oh where have they gone off to,

In their minds came the same question too.

And as the countless gust shew forth.

Try to conquer bird's lean north,

She never stops to flap her wings.

Like peasants conquering great kings.

From the very brave worm she took her courage,

To go beyond without her knowledge,

To pass the tempest of no return,

To meet the place for them to earn.

"None shall pass thine storm of May,

I make day night and night to day,

My lightning lits the skies of gray.

And thick of clouds make creatures stay

To homes of theirs to hope and pray,

That thine rage shall fall like mud and Clay."

"I am not afraid of you!"

Cried the worm, the brave no doubt.

"and so does Tweet tweet here to do

Her will to fly and fly and out!"

And with those words the bird found a plan,

To fly and fly and up to the sky.

To where they'll meet the morning sun.

And find safe place that's worth the try.

To this she trust the north no further,

To go deep the storm and deeper farther,

She trust her guts to fly up to summer.

And there be found the sun that's calmer.

Up and up the sky they went

And out the storm the rainy dent.

The bird and the worm found great king sun,

And there they flew free and with fun.

Under them the storm still rages.

"How did you get out my cages!"

He raged and roared like bull that charges.

Cause bird and worm outmatched his smartness.

And towards the north so clear again.

Where great king sun has shone on them.

Be all the toils come in their way.

Their new found friendship the same will stay

Until they reach the land unknown

May their good deeds be forever known.
