The sun starts to peek through my windows and I slowly open my eyes. I stare up at my ceiling until I realise where I am. I quickly sit up. My mood instantly changes from miserable to excitement.

I grab my laptop off my bedside table and open it up. I open up a new tap closing the Netflix one. I search the weather conditions and after lots of clicking I discover the best waves are at Coolum today. Last summer I bought a bike so I would be able to go to other beaches without disturbing my parents.

I walk out of my room and straight over to my fridge. This is my favourite part of the day. Breakfast always consists of yummy foods like eggs, bacon, toast, pancakes, sometimes Nutella. I could talk about breakfast all day, however I don't want to miss the waves.

I decide on vegemight on toast as it's quick and easy, I almost forgot delicious. With excitement I run into my room and pick up my phone only to see a text. My mood dropped when I read the name. 'Jesse Zarah'. I stare at it for a second before I unlock my phone just to lock it again. I look at my lock screen again to read 7:45. I never got up this early. Not even for school.

Throwing all my things into a backpack, I pick up my ear phones and put them into the short shorts I was now wearing. "Now I need to find my bike" I say to myself.

The ocean breeze felt amazing as it flowed through my now wavy hair. Everything about the beach makes me so happy. The smell, the sun that shines so bright, the little clothes I have to wear and the way my hair is left surfing for an hour. I love everything about it.

I now see the beach filled with people. I don't like people. I slow down when I reach a bike rack and jump off my bike. I put it next to a yellow bike that looked similar to mine but mines blue. I put out my bike lock and make sure it's locked before walking over to the beach.

I place my stuff down on a small rock and place my board on the sand. I look around judging everyone I lay my eyes on. I know I should but I can't help it. I look over at a group of people about my age. There are three guys and two girls. They are laughing and looking like they are having the time of their life. I wish I was that happy.

One of the guys looks over at me and I quickly turn about to get into my wet suit. I already had my bikini on under my clothes so it shouldn't be that hard however my wet suit was still damp from yesterday afternoon. I thought the whole idea of them was to dry quicker.

After struggling for what seemed like an hour I pick up board up and walk into the surf.

"Need some help?"

"Huh?"

"You seem like your struggling"

I turn around to see a boy around my age with light brown hair and bright blue eyes.

" I don't know if I'm struggling or that I'm just not good at this sport just yet"

"Your not that bad" he responds emphasising the word 'that'.

"Do you surf?"

"Surfing is my life"

"Oh, well I guess you could maybe give me some tips"

"Haha okay"

He starts to walk out into the surf before turning around to look at me.

"You coming?"

I didn't realise I was just standing there staring at him with a confused look. Oh wait, I did. I was confused. I don't even know this guy. However I follow him.
