I followed the shorter man and we took some turns and made it to his lab. "So you said not to test thing on humans so meet TEM" he pointed to the monkey.

"Test monkey" he told me and I nodded. "The chip I have make goes in right behind the ear and makes duplicates of your memories." He spoke quickly and moved around the room. "Once I carefully put these in the prisoners it will take up to 24 hours to have all 20 plus years of there lives" he pointed to a board I didnt understand.

"Then I plug it in to an adapter of sorts and the chip plays the memories on to my computer. Like with Tem" he clicked on his computer and it was like I was in the cage as the stupid monkey. The way he moved and where he looked what it did. "And I had a camera set up pointed at Tem while he had this in him. I've looked at all the footage and it is exactly the same its unbelievable"  he exclaimed.

"I've sent Noah and another to retrieve one of the prisoners" he told me and I whipped to face him. "I thought it would take a couple days?" I asked and he faced me. "This has been in the works for a very long time. Right now I only have the visual. As time goes on I'll be able to copy the sound and then how they felt and even replay there memories to them" Nathen told me and there was a knock on the door.

"Here is one knocked out prisoner" I heard Noah's voice and they dragged in Liam's limp body. "Hes bleeding" I spoke and Noah smiled. "No I'm fine" he smiled as he held up Liam. "No I meant Liam" I pointed at him and the drops dripping off his face. "The fucker tried to attack me. The black hair one is also unconscious. You might want a doctor in there" Noah flopped Liam in to the chair at the center of the room.

"Help me strap him down" Noah told me. I walked over and helped him as Liam stirred a bit. As he shifted I started at him. It was the first time I had seen him in the light in 3 months. His hair had grown a bit and he had some facial hair. "Shit hes already awake" Noah snickered. "Thank you Noah that will be all" Nathen ordered him out and his mouth fell open. He left with out another word.

"Does it hurt?" I ask him and cross my arms and look at Liam. "Well the monkey almost got away" he told me and rolled up his sleeve to reveal a huge bite mark. "That's why we have restrained him" Nathen motioned to Liam. "Why cant you just knock them out and do it?" I asked and he looked behind him. "I tried with Gem. Tems sister." He shook his head.

"I gave her a little pill and put it In her head and she never woke up" he shuddered and my heart rate increased. "Hey" I kicked Liam and he shifted and he blinked a couple times before I saw him tense up and look around. He looked at me and then at Nathen, before trying to pull on the restraints. He breathed out harshly though his nose and sat back.

"Liam Payne you get the honor of being my first human subject" Nathen told him as he was faced away from us. Liam gave me a what-the-fuck look and I shook my head. "Just breath" I mouthed to him and his attention was back on Nathen. "Now I'm going to make a small cut behind your ear and place this to it will connect with your brain stem" Nathen told him and walked up to him with a small knife.

"We should test it on Noah first" I laughed nervously and they both looked at me. "Ha. Ya" Nathan smiled and set the bug down along with the knife. "We can't have you squirm so lean your head back son" Nathen forced Liams head back and put a strap around his forehead and one around his neck. "You might want this" Nathan held a belt to Liam mouth and Liam glanced at it and then him. He didnt open his mouth and kept his eye contact with Nathan.

"Alright then. Try not to pass out" he told Liam and grabbed his small knife and held it to Liams skin. I saw his hand was shaking. Liam shut his eyes and I held my breath.

"I cant" Nathan shook his head and I breathed out. "Why?" I asked and Liam opened his eyes. "I dont know its different than Tem and Gem" he told me and I looked at the remaining monkey. It was quiet, and the only thing you could hear the unsteady breaths of all three of us. "You've gotta do it" he turned toward me and Liam looked at me with worry. "I cant do that?" I shook my head and he walked over to me and pushed the knife in to my hand.

"Yes you have too" he nodded and I shook my head. "Its either you or I get Noah to do it" he told me and I gripped the knife. "You pussy" I shook my head and walked over to Liam. I held the cold blade up to Liam neck and Nathan crossed his arms and watched. "Just an inch then take it out and push in the bug" Nathan told me  "ok" I said breathlessly and put my hand on Liam shoulder.

After a moment of nothing happening I stepped back and Nathan and I huffed. "Can you wait out side please" I told him in a hurry and he jumped a bit and nodded. "No more than an inch and then the bug and then the needle and thread is there" he told me and pointed on the table.

He walked out of the room and I sighed and laid my head on Liams shoulder. "Just get it over with" I heard Liam. "I cant what if you die?" I whispered back and he shrugged. "Then I die, but if you dont do this he wont trust you and word will get out" Liam looked at me best he could. "Shit" I shouted and walked in a circle. "Dont go to deep because I might actually die" he told me and my palms started to get sweaty.

"Make the cut and dont put the bug in. Simple" Liam spoke. I was still scared and my stomach turned and this was getting my pretty worked up. "Ok ok ok" I nodded and pressed the knife to his neck. "Hey Y/n the bug should blink once it hits the blood stream" I heard Nathan call from outside of the door and I rolled my eyes.

"Its fine. If you kill me I wont be mad" Liam smirked and I laughed. "Ok. I'm doing it now" I told him and started to push the knife it. He sucked in a breath and tapped his fingers. Once I had the knife in half way he shut his eyes and started to hum.

"Shit" he cursed and I did a final push and he yelled. "I'm sorry I'm sorry" I whispered and took the knife out. "Its fine" he sniffed and I grabbed the bug and put it in the cut.
