Chapter Six

Breakdown was still awake, optics dull. He really needed to recharge, but Knockout didn't seem to be asleep...he was fidgeting around, sprawled along the berth. Moments later when Knockout was finally sleeping, Breakdown carefully got up and walked out quietly, heading down to his own quarters as he instantly fell asleep.

Knockout woke up with a yawn and an arm stretch as he sat up, looking around. Breakdown was no longer along side of him. A small frown was set on his face while he shrugged, shoulder blades dropping down slightly. He got up and decided to go for a little drive across the roads of Jasper, Nevada. He headed for the ground bridge controls and soon the bridge appeared. Transforming and driving off, Knockout left without anyone noticing or catching a tiny glimpse.

The sports car drove onto the road peacefully, heading to a small city and activating his holoform. He didn't mind about the little fleshlings walking about and talking to him. He especially didn't mind at all when he talked to a girl that was his human age. Knockout soon hung around with the femme and they soon started to consider each other as boyfriend and girlfriend. The only thing Knockout didn't know was that Breakdown would get angry if he found out about his secret girl.

"See you later..." Knockout smiled at her before heading for his alt. mode and driving off, leaving the girl to smile and walk off.

Soon enough, Breakdown awoke and quickly got up, strolling down the halls repeatedly when he'd known Knockout wasn't seen anywhere. He groaned in agitation, not seeming to find Knockout anywhere at all. Soon, a teal of energy was seen as a ground bridge opened, the red mech driving in with his holoform shut off.

"KNOCKOUT! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN!?" The startled mech rushed up to the vehicle, kneeling down and touching his hood gently.

"Oh, the usual; taking quiet and peaceful drives along the roads, meeting a girl and-"

Breakdown didn't say a word after. He was too jealous and hurt inside. He never knew Knockout would find a girlfriend [or sparkmate in their standards] so soon. He finally agreed to his processor that it was Knockout that caused him to blush at points. He got up and stiffened up, trying to hide his expressions as he left without a single word escaping his vocalizers.

The young medic was about to speak, but closed his mouth, wondering why Breakdown was so...speechless. He shrugged it off and turned back to head towards the med bay.

Breakdown slammed his room door and slumped himself down onto his berth, waist-down dangling off the edge. He felt as if his spark was burning in slight anger, having to be jealous about a fleshling being Knockout's sparkmate...

"Why couldn't I be yours...Knockout...?" He mumbled quite angrily to himself. He tugged himself so he was fully on the berth, his shoulders slopped down. He slammed his fist flat down onto the berth, beginning to get really angry and annoyed.

Soon enough, his door slid open with a whoosh as Knockout stepped in, having to arrive from patching up major wounds from Vehicons. Breakdown gave him a gentle glare before turning to his side.

"A-Are you okay...Breakdown?" Knockout walked towards a table and began to organize some notes that Breakdown had been making. He also started to collect all the scattered datapads and set them in a clean pile.

The armored mech then stood up without answering Knockout if he was either "Okay." Or "No." Instead, he slowly took steps up to the working medic as he slipped his servos onto his slim hips, causing the younger mech to yelp.

"Gah!? B-Breakdown!?" Knockout quickly pulled away from his servos and continued to work, organizing and examining nervously before grabbing a pile of notes and tucking them side ways. He carried them as he sauntered to the door.

"Why are you avoiding me?" Breakdown softly glared behind Knockout's back, watching the medic stop.

The medic's shoulder blades shot upwards a bit. "'I'm not avoiding you at all." He answered him. Breakdown made a slight, gloomy face.

"...Are you in love with me?"

"Of course not!" The medic snapped, turning his helm to see Breakdown's gloomed face. The bigger mech crossed his arms, watching Knockout turn his helm back again.

   "Oh, okay."

Before Knockout could let Breakdown say anything else, he boasted in quite gently. "Let me just say that I have a girlfriend right now."

Breakdown just stood there, not amused at all. Knockout looked down and thought to himself. 'I do kinda have a "sparkmate", but if I tell him I have a girlfriend, he'll stop all this nonsense...'

"You know, you're a working adult mech. You might want to brush up on your lying." Breakdown insisted quite forcefully.

The young mech lifted his helm up, his voice getting rather angry. "It's not a lie, it's the truth!" He snapped, although, he was lying, but he tried hard to get away with it.

"Then stop avoiding my optics." The blue mech stepped closer, stretching his arm to place a servo on the door, not allowing the young mech to leave. "Look me in the optics and tell me one more time."

Knockout turned his helm, his crimson red optics gazing upon Breakdown's golden, gleaming ones. "I-I...really do have a girlfriend." The medic stammered.

Breakdown looked at the small medic with no amusement or expression at all. He felt his affection for Knockout grow more aggressively and forceful. He placed his other servo around the small mech's helm and onto his cheekplate.

"Liar." He smashed his lips quite gently and forcefully onto Knockout's, holding the side of his helm.

Knockout was surprised and shocked by the sudden lip contact, feeling Breakdown's glossa move in as it rubbed along and against Knockout's desperately.
