Autumn has arrived and the leaves have yet to fall. The street lights dimmed in the darkness. I walk alone, hoping something will stop me from doing this. My hands shake as I reached for my bag. My eyes no longer held any tears, for they have been wasted on something so stupid, yet beautiful. I pulled a gun out. How could I've been so stupid? How the hell did I not see it before? I pointed the gun to my head and laughed.

"Gemma, stop fooling around and help me." Harry tells his sister.
"Why are you so worked up on this anyway?"
"This is a very special night and I need your help. Louis will be here any minute!" Harry panics.
Harry has been dying to pop the big question. He's been planning this day since their 2nd year anniversary. Today is their 4 year anniversary and he's ready to ask Louis. They've kept their relationship a secret from everyone, including friends and family because Louis thinks they'll try to break them apart. Of course they won't be able to after Harry and Louis marries. The only person that knows is Gemma.
"Fine. Well, you did all the cooking and cleaning so why do you need me here?"
"I need some advise." Harry shyly says.
"Advise?" Gemma raises one eyebrow and smirks.
"Yeah, like.. how should I begin the conversation? Do I ask him right after dinner? Or should I do the dishes first? Do I ask him about his day or something? Do I-"
"Harry, this is Louis we're talking about. The Louis that you're planning to spend the rest of your life with? It won't matter how or when you ask, he'll say yes and you'll both live happily ever after." Gemma tells Harry and Harry smiles at the thought of him and Louis married.
"He's here!" Harry yells in a whisper when he hears the door bell ring.
"Where do I get out?" Gemma looks around.
"Just.. Go out from the window." Harry pushes Gemma towards the window.
"This is the second floor, Harry!"
"You'll be fine!"
Harry closes the window and fixes his hair. He smiles at himself in the mirror and walked to the door, where his future husband is at.
"Louis, come in!" Harry smiles widely.
"Wow, Harry. You did all of this? For me?" Louis says, a bit shocked.
"Yeah, Lou. Why wouldn't I?"
"I don't know, you don't seem like the romantic dinner type of guy." Louis smiles at Harry.
"Oh..well, sit." Harry helps Louis to his chair.
"Thank you." Louis says as he sits.
"So.. Uh, how was your day?" Harry asks, eager to pop the big question already.
"It was..good.. I actually have to tell you something about today. I'll tell you after dinner though." Louis says as he fills his plate.
"Oh, okay. I have to tell you something too." Harry takes a mouthful of the mashed potatoes.
"What is it?" He looks up at Harry.
Harry felt that it's best to do it now, than wait for later. He swallows his food and began to speak.
"Louis, we've been together for four years and-"
"Wait, what?" Louis interrupts.
"What?" Harry asks, confused.
"Today's.. ?" Louis asks.
"You forgot?" Harry's voice cracked.
"I'm so sorry, Harry. I didn't realize it was today. I was so caught up with Eleanor that I-"
"What?" Harry grips the table.
"Harry, I was going to tell you after dinner." Louis explains.
"Tell me what? Who's Eleanor?"
"You have to understand, Harry. Those three.. Four years together was nothing. It was just for fun, right?" Louis laughs at the end.
"So, you never loved me?" Harry's tone is harsh, yet full of hurt and weakness.
"C'mon Harry. It's not like we're going to get married and spend our lives together." Louis waves his hand in the air, laughing at the end.
"I.. I thought.." Harry looks away.
"What? I can't live like this. I don't want to hide from my family. I don't want to lie to them every time they ask where I was. I want to be normal."
"Normal?" Harry looks at him.
"Harry, I.. I met someone else."
Harry stood, frozen and looking straight to Louis's eyes. Mouth open but the words doesn't seem to be forming. Tears crawled down Harry's face as he walks over to Louis, which is now standing.
"Please.. Tell me you're joking.." Harry's voice is barely noticeable.
"I have to go." Louis walks to the door and Harry chases after him. He won't let him walk away. Never have, never will. He loves Louis and Louis loves him.
"Lou.." Harry holds on to Louis's hand.
"I.." Harry got down on one knee. Louis's eyes widened. "Will you marry me?" Harry took out the ring, eyes filled with tears and hope.
His green eyes looking deeply into those blue eyes. How can a simple thing be so beautiful. One answer is all he needs. One answer that will change their lives forever. One answer that can cure, but also kill. Yes, or no.
"Oh, my God. Harry.. you're insane." Louis walks out the door. Every little bit of hope left in Harry's eyes is now gone. Crumpled up on the floor, left with nothing but tears and pain.
Harry is now on both knees, sobbing, choking, unable to make a move. He throws the ring and ran to the kitchen. He grabbed the nearest plate and smashed it. One by one. Screaming at each throw, not caring if the neighbors hear.
