The night was blue,
The stars were dim
For want of Him.
A full moon rose,
A wintry bright,
O'er earth as black as white.
No color hued
That spectrum sight,
Nor sound atoned
For silence quite. As knife to blood
The chill of fear-
A shadow doth appear -
Glimmering in the light. It was so strange
This face I knew
Once, better than you-
That is, it was my own.
