Have you ever felt so alone, yet satisfied? Not depressed, but not happy, at the same time. That grey area right there, in the middle, was most of my life.
I have never met my father, although when I was younger my mother told great stories about him. She says I am named after him- Johnson Perry Fletcher Jr. I have never seen pictures or home-made films.. other than my brief memories of these conversations, I was born of nothing. There was no part to counter my mother's exhaustion.
To this day, there are no records of such a man in the world. Or, none that I have found. I refuse to consider the monster that raised me from memory of any relation to me.
I was entering middle school when my mother decided to move in with Slade Lockbar. Where he came from, I do not know and never cared to find out. At this time, I hated my mother, and more so my new 'father' figure.
Because of this, much cliche to second marriages, we moved. We moved from New Hampshire to southern BC, Canada, thanks to both adults wanting a change of scenery.
My story begins here. Satisfyingly alone, angry, and young.
