"Hey! No fair!" Violet exclaims in dissatisfaction as she is completely looked over during the setting of the table. "I want a plate too!" She grabs my arm and pouts.

I ignore her and pour the soup into only two bowls for me and my father.

"Sebastian!" Violet wails, hitting my back with her skinny arms. "Why wont you pour me soup also?" Her long white curls engulf her face as she looks down in mock sadness. Dont let her make you feel bad for normal things.

As i finally sat down at the table, waiting for my father to come down the stairs and join me.

It was tomato soup. Nothing special, frankly i didn't want it. Grocery day was today, cooking isn't easy with one stick of butter in the fridge.

"Sebastian!" Violet realizes i didnt give into her childish tantrum and sits in a chair beside me. She scoots close and leans against me. What a baby.

Father comes down the stairs. "Good morning Sebby!" He exclaims with joy and kisses his son on his forehead before taking a seat across the table.

"Good morning Mr.Soyo!" Violet squeals, perking up from her tired posture.

"I gotta work soon. Here, ill make you a deal, ill finish this whole bowl of delicious soup later. I dont want to show up late, you know." Dad's kind, aged face wrinkles as he smiles.

"Aww...but itll become stale! and yucky. Why cant you stay a little bit?" Violet gestures like a child to try and convince dad. Dad would never risk being late to work.

I nod, looking at the red soup. Wait is this expi-

"Well, have fun at school, Sebby. Love you." Dad pushes out of the table, slipping on his shoes and hat, pushing the door open.

"Sebastian! Why couldn't you make him stay?" She leans back in her chair dramatically, almost falling over.

"Be careful." I mutter, pushing out of the table while holding both bowls of soup. I walk to the kitchen and pour both bowls down the drain. Dad is just gonna get something to eat outside.

"Oh! Why would you do that!" Violet springs up from her chair and stands underneath me, watching the soup go down the drain. I see two girls run down the street with a puppy, squealing in happiness from my window. Playing outside so early in the morning? Dumbasses.

"Are you going to school today?" She watches with intent as i rinse the bowls out.

"Of course not. A place full of arrogant assholes and bad memories." I blow my bangs out of my eyes. Stupid hair.

Placing the bowls back on the drying rack, Violet chases behind me like a puppy as i walk back up the stairs to go back to sleep.

I count the seconds of silence as we march into my room. 88 seconds of silence, new record.

I fall onto my matress and stare at the ceiling. Violet sits in a chair beside my bed, staring.

"Sebastian?" She whispers, looking down at her fingers. "Why aren't you doing anyt-"

The doorbell rings.

I dont react, i turn my body to face Violet, look at her for a few seconds and unenthusiastically roll out of bed, but not before getting caught on my door by the long, shapeless sleeves of my blue matching pijamas.

After the seemingly endless treck to my door, again, trailed by Violet, i open the door.

"Bloom!" Violet smiles and holds my sleeve in comfort.

I stare at Sydonna. She grew, taller than me, unfortunately.

Her skirt was extremely short, button up dress shirt was buttoned down just enough to show just enough.

"Mr.Macca wanted me to give you this homework." She thrusts the thick pile of paperwork into my unsuspecting arms. Followed by an uncomfortable silence. Nobody moved, except for Sydonna twirling her silky blue hair, and of course Violet looking back and forth between us.

"You might as well have given this to the children in the street." I stare at Sydonna. Again, more silence.

"Oh Bloom! I loveee your hair! My favorite color is blue! Is your favorite color still pink?" Violet decides to take it upon herself to fill the void. I wish i could talk so freely to Sydonna now.

"Well if thats all i think you should be going." I attempt to shut the door but Sydonna very quick keeps it open.

"Come back to school." She bursts, looking at her feet.

I recoil my hand from the door back to holding the stack of paper. Violet tugs my sleeve and stomps her feet. "See Sebastian! I told you t-"

"They all ask me about you, you know." She rubs her sleeve. "Why are you isolating yourself?"

I stare at her again. "What do i look like? An idiot? Everything school can teach me i already know. Its not my fault i dont want to surround myself with low-life slugs who hate me." I begin to shut the door again, but this time she steps back and allows me to slam it.

"Sebastian," Violet steps infront of me and begins to scold me. "Why do you not listen? Even Bloom-"

"Dont call her that. Shes not Bloom anymore." I turn around and trot back the stairs, this time with a vigor that had been stirred up.

"Sebastian!" Violet runs to catch up with me.

I throw the papers on the floor, but instead of hitting the ground they flutter around my room.

"Sebastian! You made a mess! Why-"

"Shut up!" I snap.

Violet frowns. Seconds pass and the frown deepens, then she begins to cry.

"You're so sensitive! God, when will you stop haunting me! You're so annoying!" I fall onto my bed once again and roll over, facing away from Violet.

She sobs very loudly, then i hear the door open and shut. Slowly her cries fade until i hear the front door open and shut as well.

I finally sigh and close my eyes. If she wasn't such a baby i wouldn't have to hurt her feelings.

I roll back over and take a look around the paper now littered around my room. Sudden tiredness sweeps over me and i drift off to sleep.

I wake up at late evening. I stretch and expect Violet to be sitting on the edge of my bed smiling at me and greeting me good evening. But there is no such thing.

I am pumped full of adrenaline. Where is she?

I throw on some clothes and a beanie and dash to the door, screaming throughout the house her name.

I burst out of my home, the streets darkening with every passing second. "Violet!" I exclaim, running to the only place she could be.
