Eric walked through the screen door on the front of his mother's house. He looked around in dusgust.  The floor and furniture was covered in old food and toys. There were cockroached crawling on the walls and the place had a terrible stench. Eric closed the door behind himself and walked to the kitchen. He opened the refridgerator that he had scrubed clean with bleach and a toothbrush only a week ago and wasn't surprised to find moldy leftovers and spills everywhere.

He walked upstairs to his mother's room. It was covered in dirty clothes and dishes, trash, and animal fecies. His mother was asleep on her bed, wearing only a tank top and underpants. He closed the door and walked acrodd the hall to his bedroom that he shared with his younger brother, David. A strip of duct tape was stretched across the carpet in the exact middle of the room. On the left side was dirty clothes, toys, trash, and all sorts of things and smells. On the right, it was absolutely spotless. The bed was made to perfection, the books were arranged neatly on a dustless shelf, and everything was in order and in it's place.

He heard a knock on the front door. His two dogs started barking like crazy from his mother's bedroom. He ran downstairs and opened the front door to find a piece of paper taped to it. He skimmed over the words on the paper and ran upstairs to give it to his mother.

"What the h*** is this?" Asked his barely awake mother.

"Eviction notice. We've got two days." He said as he ran to his room to start packing.

He figured his mother would just barrow some money from his grandmother and they'd move into another crappy apartment building in another ghetto neighborhood. But little did he know, he was so wrong.
