This story takes place at the end Volume 5 but before the start of Volume 6, where (Y/N) and the gang have finally go...
(For now its' just a preview of what's to come. Details are subject to change)
An explosion could be heard from miles around to what seemed to like as if the moon has itself had crashed on the Earth's surface. The animals of the night (owls, racoons, bears) rushed from the impending heat past the villages nearby waking up the residnts who had been sleeping. The team has also gotten a sence of the massive energy. Everybody was trembling from the amount of power that had been dropped, but to (Y/N) this energy seems all too familiar to him. He motioned to make his way to the door before Weiss placed her hand on his shoulder.
Weiss: Y/N?
Without a word, (Y/N) dashed her hand away and exited the house to the outside.
Blake: Weiss, where did he go? Weiss: I don't know. Yang: (emerges from her bedroom with her battle outfit on) Where' Ruby?
(Y/N) ran as fast as he could to get to Ruby with his lightning streaks getting dimmer as she regretted to know what he may find once he reached to the center of the forest. Weiss tried to call out to him from the door for to return, but her words were drowned out by his internal regret for letting this happen on his watch.
(Y/N): Damn it. Why didn't I go with her when she asked me to? I should've stayed by her side and done more and now. . . No! Don't think that way Y/N. She'll be ok. We promised.
Tears began to well up in his eyes before dashing up to the top of a dead tree. He peered in the distance see where the explosion has happened. Smoke was surrounding the area making it hard more him to make out anything with it being as dark as it was. He tried to enhance the vision in his eyes but to no avail since his mind wasn't able to focus properly. The crescent moon had finally begun to breach the through the sky bringing in a cold breeze that rattled (Y/N)'s skin, but his own lighting aura has kept from being affected much.
Then, out from the distance came footsteps that treaded slowly onto the ground below. A figure in a black hat could be made out from the smoke and it appeared to be carrying something, a body perhaps. It can't be. No. . .
Without thinking, (Y/N) hopped down to meet the figure approaching the clearing unsure of what was to come to this meeting, but all he worried about was if Ruby was ok for him not to have to worry about losing anyone else. EVER.
The figure teetered a bit to the side and then stopped a few feet in front of (Y/N) as the moon had finally begun to overtake the surroundings to reveal the person and what they were carrying. (Y/N) took a step back in shock. It was Denson. And in his arms. . . .

Denson: Where were you (Y/N)? I told her that she wasn't ready to unleash all of that power at once. Although that little girl ended up being saved now I'm not so sure if she have enough life force to lift herself up again. (lifts his head to face (Y/N) What do you have to say for yourself?
