==Nathan==

About 3 weeks passed, and it was getting closer and closer to my first day of community college. My parents gave me a brochure of what classes I was gonna take and what clubs were available.

"This is a great opportunity to get back on your feet, son" My dad would reassure me.

Over the past few weeks, they talked as though if they said one wrong thing, I would break down like a little girl. That only added to my frustration. I didn't want to think about college or life or anything. I just wanted all of this to be over.

Soon enough, it finally arrived. My first day. My mom suggested that I took morning classes so I wouldn't 'get out of the routine of waking up early'. I didn't see the need to oppose so I willingly agreed. I got dressed and as I went downstairs, my mom hands me a brown leather bag. It looked like a girl bag but my mom corrected me saying 'It is a satchel'. I took the bag, filling it with my necessary supplies for the day.

When I was done, I look back at my mom who stared at me a sympathetic smile spread across her face; her eyes glossy. She hugs me tightly, making my heart clench. She cups my face in her hands "I love you" she says. I nod "Me too" "Be safe" she adds, kissing my cheek. I walk out the door, entering my car driving off down the road.

I made it to campus which was only 20 minutes from my house. It wasn't too crowded but there were enough people to make me second guess my agreement to be here. I take a deep breath, exiting my car.  I walked through the school, looking for my class. I recognized a lot of people who were here. Some of them whispered as I passed by; others stared, but I kept my head down. I walked into the library, standing in an empty book aisle. I take a deep breath, rubbing my hand against my forehead. I don't want to be here.

The day went on and as predicted; I got lost. I accidentally entered the wrong class and didn't know until halfway through the lecture. I was too embarrassed to enter my real class so I hung out in the library until the class was over.

After the day was over, I got home only to see that my parents weren't home. My mom left a note on the table,

Nathan,

We got a call from your aunt so we needed to head for Denver. We'll be back tomorrow. Be good.

We love you, Mom and Dad

My parents had been gone for a week and every day, my mom would call to check up on me. Though she didn't say, I knew that she only called to make sure I didn't go out and do something stupid or illegal again. I still didn't the point for it since I didn't even have anyone to hang out with.
I mostly spent my day at home, either watching Tv or sleeping. There were times where I would work up enough courage to open my social media. I always avoided it now, not being able to bare seeing all of my old friends having the time of their lives at there awesome new dorm or apartment. It made me feel pathetic because I am still living with my parents and I didn't get accepted to the school that all my friends were attending.
I hesitantly press on the 'Instagram' icon and my newest feed pops up. I clench my jaw seeing a picture of one of my friends in his new apartment with his friend. I kept scrolling seeing endless videos of people I once talked to partying and living an amazing life. Just as I was about to chuck my phone across the room, I get a notification. Since it was out of the blue, I assumed it was a scam account trying to sell me something. I open the notifications and I saw a new account followed me. It was a spam one so I pressed on the account. It was from Alice. I pressed the blue follow button and I scrolled through her page. It was mostly drawings and inspirational quotes. There was one picture that caught my eye though. It was an early one from middle school. It was Alice posing with a brunette girl. I zoomed into the picture and my eyes widen. It was Eleanor. Alice and Eleanor were friends?
