Quick disclaimer: I do not own the HP world, that would be JK Rowling. I don't own the characters. Warning: contains mild cursing, homosexuality, kissing, probably a few mature jokes, etc. I hope you enjoy reading this lil story!
This chapter used to be called the Revelation, it's not anymore but I haven't changed anything in the chapter so worry not!

The fire crackled gingerly in the Gryffindor common room. The space was completely empty save for the three eighth years: a petite curly-haired girl holding a gigantic tome bound in withering leather, a boy who had sunk his face so far into the soft couch that only his bright crimson ears were poking out of his even redder hair, and a slender, if not skinny, dark-haired boy with big, round glasses, a lightning bolt shaped scar on his forehead, and a very shy and uncomfortable expression on his face.

The moon shone dimly through the long, narrow, windows. The rest of the castle was fast asleep, for the most part, in their dormitories, and the friends had the common room all to themselves. The three sat on armchairs and couches around the warm light of the fireplace. None of them dared say anything for a few moments. A look of pure agony appeared on Harry's face as he buried it in his palms.

"I kissed Draco Bloody Malfoy!" he mumbled, still clutching his flushed face, "Malfoy, for Merlin's sake! Why did I have to kiss him?!" the boy exclaimed, then quickly quieted down, not wanting to wake up half of Gryffindor House.

"Umm, well..." Hermione began, she shifted uncomfortably in her seat, "Do you like him?" she bit her lip, hiding a mischievous grin.

A pained groan escaped from Ron, who still had his face buried in the couch.

"WHAT?" Harry yelled, jumping up from his armchair and almost knocking over a table in the process, "I...? Me, Harry? Like Draco Malfoy?" Harry tried to act bewildered and outraged, but it did not really work since his voice came out all squeaky and high pitched.

"Harry, I have been your friend for over seven years, I can read you like an open book!" Hermione looked at her friend sympathetically, patting the book on her lap, "I really do want to help you, Harry, you know that."

"Fine," Harry said absently, "I do," he said quietly after a moment of silence.

A grin appeared on Hermione's face as she tried not to squeal and throw her arms around Harry. Another strangled noise came from the depths of the couch. She glared at Ron but was still smiling brightly.

"Finally!" she said in an annoyed but excited voice, "We have all been waiting for you to finally admit it."

"Umm, WHAT?" Harry yelled again, "You knew? And who is 'we' anyway?" he looked at her, bewildered. How did she know before him?

"Well, you and Malfoy have always been rivals," she began, "And you became obsessed with him and spied on him, all you talked about was him!" she tried to explain, "We, most of the Gryffindor eighth years and a few seventh years, we all thought you knew already!"

"So you knew about my crush before I did," Harry said bitterly, "What else did you know before I did? That I was gay?" he was practically shouting now.

"Well...." Hermione muttered and looked away from him, "But this is great news!" she tried to adjust. Harry threw her a Glare of Doom.

"It is not great, 'Mione!" he protested, "I snogged my arch rival!"

Ron groaned again but received a slap on the back of his head from his girlfriend.

"But he didn't push you back, right?" Hermione put her hand to her chin and looked somewhere behind Harry absently.

"Yeah..."

"Well, maybe he likes you too!" Hermione smiled proudly at her conclusion. Harry looked mortified. Ron forced his head further into the soft, red fabric of the couch. Hermione rolled her eyes.
