The Broken Malfoys

Eleven

May 4th 1992

I could barley contain my excitement as I had been up all night. I couldn't wait till I turned eleven! At 7:30 am I rushed downstairs to where we get our mail. I of course ran past dozens of presents in the lounge room. But this was more important.

I saw an owl that I didn't recognize come to the door. I opened it and gently took the letter out of its beak. I then gave the owl a treat and a nice rub, and then it was off. I could hear mother and father walking down the staircase.

They told me to eat before anything else. Our house elves came in and served us extra special food for my birthday. I had a delicious parfait with cake in it. And also pancakes, pancakes are only served on Birthdays because they are seen as "too muggle for this family".

It was a nice meal and it was nice that my father took off work from the Ministry today. But, it felt like part of me was missing. Draco. My older brother by one year was already almost done his first year at Hogwarts. He had sent me letters and told me all about his year.

He also told me about his friends, Crabbe, Goyle, and Pansy. But he also told me who he hates. Harry Potter. He claims, "Harry is a fool who is hanging out with a weasel  and a mud-blood". I personally hate the phrase mud-blood.

My family is extremely prejudice against any wizard that is not an pure blood. They think that only pure bloods should be allowed in Hogwarts. My father was so serious about it he almost sent us to some other school called Durmstrang. 

I don't share the same racists values as my family. I don't state that of course. But, Draco can see how uncomfortable I get when they talk about things like how much others should suffer.

Finally! It was time to open my acceptance letter and of course my presents! I can't wait!

HEIII. So I know this probably won't be read by anyone but I made this story because it has been stuck in my head. So I'm writing for myself but hopefully other people will be able to enjoy this.
