The Cure

I woke up on a stretcher being frantically pushed through a hallway. There were needles in my arm and weird tubes all on my chest and head.

"Draco? Mother?", I practically screamed.
"Anna", father was beside me, running with the doctors.

Before I could say any more words I started shaking and eventually had another seizure.

Three Days Later

I woke up...in my bed? I thought I would be in some hospital room. I could hear talking.. more like arguing outside my room. Then none other than Professor Snape came in.

I instantly sat up but regretted it as an torturous amount of pain came upon me.

"No sudden movements Anna. Actually, it would be best to avoid moving at all. Now drink this."

"What happened to me? And why are there a bunch of needles in me?"

"You were in a light coma. You had a very small brain aneurism. You are lucky it didn't kill you. It brought on multiple side effects to your body though. Including a temporary paralysis on both your legs. You are going to have many extreme headaches and possibly mild seizures".

"Can't this just be fixed with a spell? How long is recovery going to take?"

"Unfortunately, spells can only do so much in your case. A potion like this can ease your pain. But this'll take you a long time to get past".

My mind kept telling me that maybe I won't ever recover.

Snape continued, "Of course your legs will be just fine eventually. And somehow the aneurism was removed. But you could have seizures at any point in your life. But right now we have to be very careful because you could damage your brain very easily while it heals".

"Sir... how long will this take?"

He hesitated, "Probably four or five months".
