A N G E L

9:15 AM

I stirred in my sleep as I tried to find a comfortable position to lay in. I sighed, not getting any comfort in wherever I was laying, considering I sleep on a blanket on the floor.

I stood to my feet walking into my washroom to brush my teeth. I looked at myself in the mirror trying to stay positive. It's hard when your living the life you don't want to. Somehow I still make it through the day. Grabbing my toothbrush, I squeezed some toothpaste on it and started brushing.

After I was done, I took a quick shower and changed into my work clothes. I work at olive garden. My shift starts at 9: 50, but I take the city bus and that takes away alot of my time. Wrapping my hair into a simple messy bun, I walked downstairs into the kicthen.

The smell of cigar instantly hit my nose as I fanned my hand in the air.

"Why the fuck are you down here?" I looked at my mother finishing her cigarette. I stared at her not saying a word.

"So now you don't speak". She gave a blank expression. "I'm heading out to work mother".

The tension was so thick you could cut it with a butter knife.

"Well bitch hurry the fuck up, someone is coming over, and I don't want them seeing my sorry excuse for a daughter". She said those words with no remorse.

It's funny how the person that's supposed to care and love for doesn't even give a single fuck about you.

I ignored her words. I slipped on my shoes and grabbed my metropass, and started walking to the nearest bus stop.

It was now 10:15 and my lunch break was in 5 minutes.

"Angel can you deal with table 5, I'm really busy with this customer at the moment." My friend vanessa said.

Well that just interfered with my lunch break.

"Yeah sure, no problem".

I walked around to table 5 to see 4 men in expensive looking suits. They all looked like they owned some expensive companies. As I approached them my heart rate started picking up.

Why was I so nervous?

The men all gave me their undivided attention as I stood in front of them.

"H-hello, can I t-take you guys orders-s?"

I stood their frozen, why? I don't even know.

"Yes actually you can, can I get the roasted pulled pork club wrap with the medium ceasar salad."

I took out my notepad and wrote down my first order.

"Sure, what would you like to order?" I said looking at the man beside him. He looked to the other men and whispered, then he spoke up.

"We'll all get the same thing sweetheart." He winked at me. He looked to be about 35 with jet black hair and a goatee.

I lightly blushed and shook my head, heading to the kicthen to give their order.

Struggling with the plates, I finally made my way to their table. I placed the plates down but was stopped when the same guy helped me set them down.

He smiled down to me, but I just looked away and smiled.

He wasn't really my type but he's whatever I guess. "Thank you".

"No need to thank me sweetheart, what's your name?"

I tucked my hair behind my ear and looked him in his eyes.

"My name is Angel". He looked me up and down, as his eyes filled with lust.

"Well Angel, I think your quite ravishing". I smiled as I looked down at my watch as my lunch break was about to end.

"Thank you...."

"Aaron."

"Thank you Aaron but I have to go now". I said as I was glathering the plates they ate from before.

"Wait take my number." I looked around embarrassed because I dont exactly have a phone.

"I don't have a phone, sorry". He looked stunned when he heard that.

I guess he's never heard someone without a phone before, oh well.

" Well I guess I'll see you here sometime sweetheart." He winked at me and walked away with the rest of the men.

I walked over to Vanessa as she looked at me and smirked.

"So who's that fine guy over there". I looked at her and laughed. Vanessa is something else. If I had a dollar for the amount of guys she's slept with, I'd be damn near rich.

"Bitch tell me."

"I don't know, some Aaron guy". She chuckled and walked away not before shouting "get them coins girl!" She really is crazy. It was almost time for me to head home.

I dreaded going home, I hate my mother so much it's unbelievable. She's the one that birthed me, so I have to have some kind of respect.

I went to the back to gather my things and soon headed out.

As I waited for the bus. I took in my surroundings. There was a man wearing a suit and a black mask slowly walking up to me. Being me I started walking the other way but not before someone began pulling my hair.

"Let go of me!" I fought back, swinging my hand like a lunatic. The person finally let go. I made a run for it. Running down the street while cars blowed their horns. I was terrified for my life right now.

I looked behind me to see if the person was still behind me, but they weren't. I stopped to catch my breath as I panted heavily.

"She's right there, get the bitch Aaron".

That name clicked in my head. But it soon erased as something hard hit me in the head.

I was out cold.
