"Granny! I already told you I can't work tonight! UGH!"

I am nearly run over by Ruby storming out of the diner.

"Oh, I'm so sorry Emma, I guess I wasn't really looking where I was going. it's hard when you frustrated." she laughs a little at her last statement.

"I understand you sister, I've done it many times myself."

"Thanks. I guess I should find somewhere to blow off some steam. Granny keeps giving me the night shift even though she knows I can't work weeknights. But, I don't want to keep you from your day. Sorry about bumping into you!"

"It's alright. See ya later Ruby."

The smell of pancakes hits my nose right when I walk into the diner. I love the way Granny's always smells. Henry and I have shared many a good memory here.

"What can I get for you today Emma?"

"Just a coffee today. Thanks."

Coffee is about the only thing that can keep we awake right now. I just could not get to sleep last night! The memory of Killian's kiss was floating around my mind, keeping me up till about 3 in the morning.

"Hey mom!"

"Hey kid, what's up?"

"Nothing much, I would've waited for you this morning, but you were pretty sound asleep."

"Sorry, racing thoughts kept me up late." Im not quite sure I want to tell Henry about our relationship just yet. It's going to be weird anyways, but it might be a little less weird in another situation.

"Yeah, it was a busy day yesterday."

"No kidding."

I hear the door bell ring and turn around to see Mary Margaret and David walking in with Neal. The whole diner im has their eyes fixed on the cute little bundle that is my new baby brother. There is a collective "Awwww!" as Neal chuckles at his mommy and daddy as they are smile down at him. It's going to be fun to get to watch a kid grow up. I didn't get to see any of Henry's big baby moments, but I will get to see Neal's.

"So, how was your first night with a baby in the house?"

"Well, it was a little tiring considering how big of a day we had already had, but he wasn't too much trouble. Just a few nightly visits, but other than that, he was a little angel."

Mary Margaret smiles at Neal and Neal smiles right back at her. He has her smile-not to flashy, but still joyful and sweet and always there. It is so wonderful to get to see the bond between a mother and child. I wish I could have experienced this with Henry, but I guess there's no point in dwelling on the past.

I hear the door bell ring again as none other than Killian Jones walks through the threshold. my heart does a backflip in my chest and my stomach fills with butterflies. I blush as our eyes meet and have to try to hold back my smile.

"Morning. I see we have the whole family here today." I love the way he looks at me.

"Yep." Henry pipes in. Most likely to prevent an awkward adult-ish conversation.

"How have you two been with the baby?"

"Just fine, he's been our sweet little angel."

"Great. And how have you been, love?" You would not believe how sexy his Irish accent is. And even though he calls half the town "love" it still makes my heart jump when I hear him say it to me.

"I've been fine. A little sleep deprived, but fine."

"Anything on your mind?" I know he's playing with me. He knows exactly what's on my mind.

"No, just those puzzling questions that everyone asks themselves right before they fall asleep. You know, do penguins have knees, why do birds tweet, what if there were an ice cream flavor that had 20 different kinds of chocolate in it? At least those are the questions that I ask myself." I am hoping my cover story is working.

"You ask yourself some strange questions at night Swan. Who even thinks about penguins having knees?"

"My brain does at 1AM." This is turning into a pretty nice conversation.

"Well, I best be on my way. I've got places to go, people to see. I'll talk to you later Swan."

"Bye!"

I feel like a teenage girl! I am falling deeper in love with Killian as each day goes on.

Knock knock knock

I wonder who that is?

I open the door and in front of me is Killian, looking as attractive as ever.

"Hello, love." He say with one of his cocky little smiles.

"What can I do for you?"

"Can I come in?"

"Yeah. David, Margaret, and Henry went out to dinner with Neal."

"Good." He says as he crashes his sweet lips on mine.

This kiss is even better than the last one.

He moves us towards the table, picks me up, and puts me on top of it, all while our lips never part.

He starts to whisper things to me, but I have no idea what he's saying. I am too entranced my the way he moves his tongue against mine to have any room in my brain for side thoughts.

All of a sudden, my thoughts are completely scattered and i let out a moan as he finds that sweet spot on my neck. It feels so different to be kissed by someone who actually loves me. It's more passionate and feels better.

"Swan, the things you do to me are crazy." He half talks half moans as we continue kissing. I have no idea how long we have been doing this, and I don't care. Right now, I don't ever want to leave his embrace.

We begin to slow down a little at some point and eventually, we separate.

"I don't know where the hell that came from, but I'm find with more of those." This makes Killian laugh and he plants another kiss on my forehead.

"I don't know where the hell it came from either." he says, mimicking me.

He twirls a piece of my hair around his hook and it honestly looks incredibly seductive right now.

"I guess we don't want to get caught."

"No, I guess not, love."

I hop off the table and fix myself up a bit before walking Killian to the door.

"Thanks for a nice evening."

"The pleasure was all mine." he says with a wink. god he knows how to turn me on.

"Good night."

"Good night, Swan."
