"Mommy! Mommy!" I shouted, bursting into the living room.
"Yes dear?"
"May I go outside?!" I asked excitedly.
"Ah-I'm not sure... Just promise to come home as soon as it dark, alright?"
"Okay!!!"
As soon as I replied, I rushed out the door. My mom had once told me that one day, I will represent the darkness.
I never really understood what she meant, but I had been born into a pre-presigious? I don't get that word. Well, I had been born in a something family from what my mom said. Momma says I'm rather smart for my age. Its most likely beacause of all the homework I get. I hate homework.
I finally reached the backyard and began to wander around. It was super big!!! I'm not sure what would be bigger!?! I saw so many cute things too! Like little bunnies, and butterflies! I began following a really pretty butterfly I had spotted towards a forest. I'm not sure why we had one though.
I kept following until I came across a slight cliff, and a bridge. I carefully crossed, not thinking too much of it or why it would be here, and continued to follow. I went deeper only to bump into something and fall back.
"Oh! S-sorry, here!" A hand reached out. I took the boy's hand and dusted of any possible dirt on my lavander dress. I didn't want Mommy to think I was doing anything dangerous. I looked up to observe the stranger.
He had a slightly messy blonde hair style and shining aqua eyes. He had seemed around the same age as me and his skin had been less pale than mine, but was taller by maybe a few inches. Maybe. As I finished scanning him, I looked back to admire his eyes.
"Your eyes look really pretty! It reminds my of my necklace! See?" I had blurted, then held out my aqua-colored lotus necklace.
He muttered a thank you and admired the necklace just I like I had with his eyes. When he had complimented it, I had pridefully spoke a 'thank you' unlike his quiet whispering voice.
I looked up at the sky and was quite taken back at the sudden change in time.
"Oh no, I'm sorry I have to get home right now. Can we meet again tomorrow?"
"O-okay."
"Great! Before I go, what's your name? Mine's Lizzie!"
"I-it's Austin."

"Later Austin!"
---

I had made it home in time right before my mom had almost began to freak out.
"Hiya mommy!"
She turned around and all of her stress vanished like it had never existed.
"Oh there you are, I was starting to get worried. Where did you go?"
"To the forest!"
Her face began to look more pale as I looked at her in confusion. It was as if she was trying to make me worried. It was failing. I didn't want to worry her more, so I continued to act oblivious, hoping it would make things better.
"I saw a lot of cute animals and I made a new friend! He's around the same age as me too!" I exclaimed making my mom's worry disappear once again. She then had a slight smile.
"Oh really? I'm glad."
