The New Girl

Chapter 1

Derrek groaned in annoyance as his alarm clock went off signaling he had to get up and go to school. He hated school.
He rolled out of bed and rubbed his eyes sleepily and then stretched, "it's too damn early for this," he groaned as he walked over to his closet to get an outfit for the day and then groggily walked to his bathroom so that he could shower.
He ran the water for his shower cold to help him wake up speaking as he was still partially asleep. He stripped his clothes and got in and started to wash his body and face. As he showered he heard a slight knock on the bathroom door and rolled his eyes, "Who is it?" He shouted from the shower, upset that someone was bothering him.
"Hey Hun, today you are showing a girl around at school and have to be there five minutes early, I just thought I should tell you that," his mom spoke softly through the door, he groaned.
"Mom, do I have to do that?" He said not wanting to have to be at school early and to have to show some kid around who's probably a nerd. His mom sighed,
"I already told them you would do it Derrek," she said trying not to aggravate him anymore than he already was,
"Fine I'll do it," he said finally giving in knowing his mother would never give up and would argue with him about it until he agreed to do it.
He heard nothing else from his mom or anyone else as he continued his shower in peace.
As he finished his shower and wrapped a towel around his waist he heard another knock, which caused him to groan, "what do you want," he spoke in a strong voice,
"I just thought I should tell you that you have to be at school in twenty minutes"
Derrek finished getting ready and grabbed his car keys, "mom, I'm leaving now," he yelled to her from the front door.
"Bye hunny, have a good day today, I love you," she said back to him as he left.
Derrek pulled into the parking lot of his Highschool and pulled the keys out of the ignition and walked up to the school looking for this so called "new kid" when he saw her, the girl he was showing around and she was beautiful. She had beautiful bright green eyes, small freckles scattered all over her face, curly brown hair, and beautiful tan skin. She wasn't like all the other girls at his school, there was just something about her that made her different, and he wants to figure out what it is.
