Derrek smiled as he strides towards the tan skinned beauty. She stood there smiling at him not quite sure as to what to do when there was a cute guy walking over to her.
"Hey, are you Jada," Derrek asked as he approached her with a grin,
"That's me," Jada replied walking a few feet so they were standing a few feet apart.
"Are you ready for the tour," Derrek questioned once again, which made Jada frown knowing that now she was going to have to look around the school,
"Yeah, I guess"
"Hey don't be so upset, it'll be fun I promise," Derrek beamed at her, she sighed and followed him into the large Highschool.
They were finishing up the tour when kids started to pile in and go to their lockers.
"What's your locker number?" Derrek asked Jada so he could show her where it is,
"Number 173," Jada replied as she handed him the small paper that had her locker number and combo scribbled onto it sloppily, Derrek smiled,
"Right next to mine," Jada smiled and followed him to their lockers and shoved all her stuff inside,
"I swear they give way too much shit that you won't even use," Jada groaned while shoving all the heavy textbooks into her locker then closed it. What he had said caused Derrek to laugh,
"Trust me, with all the homework and the textbooks you have to bring home, your backpack is going to be heavy as hell within a week." Jada giggled,
"Well I should get to first period before I'm late." Derrek frowned,
"Okay, I'll see you later." Jada smiled and waved.
Jada was sprinting down a hallway with a minute left before she was late to class, it was impossible to find where her first period was.
When she walked into the room she saw a familiar face, it was Derrek. A huge smile grew on both of their faces as they saw each other. Jada found an empty spot next to Derrek and sat down, she was happy knowing that he was in her first period and he'd be one of the first people she'd see every morning.
Class was coming to an end when Derrek threw a note onto Jada's desk, she opened it and it read 'meet me after school at the doors we met at this morning' Jada smiled and nodding knowing that he was watching her. She slipped the note into her pocket and as she did, the bell rang signaling class was over.
Jada left the class with a smile knowing that Derrek wanted to see her after school. She was glad that she at least had one friend, because without him she'd be a total outcast, but Jada already wanted to be more than friends with Derrek. But she knew he would never fall for someone like her. Would he?

Authors note: I hope you guys are enjoying the book so far even though I'm trash at writing. I'll try to update sometime tomorrow.
