mia was currently balling her eyes
out, confused on what to do.

so, her first instinct was to talk to julia and austin, but they were away from their daughter and didnt want to bother them.

so, she did the unexpected.

she hopped into her car, and began
driving to zions house.

she hasnt spoken to him since the wedding, and even then she hardly talked to the boy.

she was thinking of what she was even going to say when she saw him but in the past he was always reliable .

she quickly ran to the door and sniffled before ringing the doorbell.

zion opened the door with his daughter in one hand and a baby bottle in the other.

his eyes widened, confused on
why she was here.

"if you're busy i can- um leav-"
she started.

zion shook his head. "she needs to nap anyways sit down ill be right back.

mia hesitantly entered and sat on the couch she used to cry to him on.

suddenly, zion appeared back out
of a room and sat next to her.

"whats wrong?" he asked sincerely.

she sniffled again and wiped tears from here eyes. "i dont know if i should marry jack."

"it's too soon, and i dont want to put myself in that position and i dont want to put him through that if im not fully commited."

he squinted, slightly confused.
"then whyd you say yes?"

"well how the fuck you say no to that?"

he chuckled softly. "whyd you come to me. you havent even talked to me since we last– y'know."

"yeah but i needed someone to talk to and i guess i was used to coming to you with it."

he nodded and waited for her to continue.

"should i marry him?" she said quietly.

"do you want to?" he fired.

she shrugged and sighed. "i dont know what i want." she shook her head and threw her head into her hands. "i used to want you, and i still do. thats the actual problem."

zions lips curled into a smile. "well i still want you. i've been trying to apologize for a year now but you wouldnt let me. and i get it. i was an asshole."

the two laughed. "but i cant choose that for you, follow your heart."

"you have a kid, that's like even more than i can handle at the moment." she started.

"remember what i said when i told you i still loved you at austins wedding?" he responded.

"you said, you may not love me back but im willing to work hard for that, no matter how long it takes." she said, looking at him.

"caleb i love you and i do want to be with you." she muttered.

"then whats the problem?" he questioned.

"jack, i dont know how to deal with that. but i'll figure that out, eventually."

"ah you see, i always knew you were spicy." he laughed.

"thats not even funny youre so
annoying," she smiled.
