The narrow and confetti filled streets were booming with heart throbbing music, blinding lights and eccentric dancers. In the side of the crowded street was a young boy holding his Mothers' hand, waiting for what seemed to be the only time his parents ever spared for him.

"Mom? When is dad gonna show up?" The young boy asked pouting to his mother.

"I'm sorry dear, he doesn't seem to be picking up." His mother replied with a sigh, dialing her phone for another attempt.

"I'm hungry! Dad said he promised to put me on his shoulders like other kids!" The young boy whined with glistening eyes.

"I know, I know be patient with your Dad alright? He was always stressed with making money for us so, he's a bit tired." His mother replied with a sorrowful look.

As the parade was still going on with bits of paper falling on the boys head, he was very fascinated by the colorful scenery in front of him. He didn't notice his tiny hand let go of his mothers' and was met with a merciless crowd.

"Mommy?Mommy!" He shouted, attempting to run past the crowd to return to his mother. With the blasting music and his height, chances of finding his mother were thin.

"Arthur is that you?" A rough hand stopped him. It was the boys' uncle. The boy only nodded the tears never stopping.

"You got lost? Well, your Dad's here how about we just go to him?" The Uncle said smiling awkwardly. The boy nodded again, feeling slightly better. His uncle carried him as they walked.

Arthur watched as they whipped past the opposite direction of the crowd .
Arthur was getting a bit tired from the rocking as he was carried in his uncles scarred arms and he finally fell asleep. He was only awoken by shouting and the drops of sweat from his uncle.

"Give me the boy!" Another man shouted with an ice cold voice. Arthur could only assume he was behind them, because he didn't see what happened next.

"Arthur? Are you here?" Arthurs' mom pleaded with a desperate voice, her shoes slammed loudly in the dimly lit alley.

Arthur never saw his mothers face when she got shot.

"No!" His uncle cried. Arthur was dropped to the ground and he desperately crawled to find his mother as the sirens were screaming in his ears.
