Rebecca's POV
Dad's eyes grew after hearing Mr. Jeff's words. I realised why his eyes grew in shock and look at Mr. Jeff. "Are you my real father?"
He turns to me after I said that. His smile grew wider, if possible. He hugged me again as tears started slowly coming out.
I hugged him back while slowly rubbing circles on his back.Dad looked at all the people worriedly. The clown slowly walked over to him and crossed his arms. "Something wrong? Or are we just a few freaks to you?" The clowns words were kinda harsh.
"What!? No! I'm just... Worried about Rebecca's safety, that's all." Dad said as he looked at each of them. "No offense. It's just that I've never met any of you." Dad looks at me with the most worried expression that I've ever seen on him.
"Mister, we would never hurt Rebecca." The little girl in a pink dress says as she steps closer and I notice some blood running down her face.
Mom notices it too and immediately rushes closer with a packet of wet wipes. "Sweetheart, how are you bleeding that much without worrying?!" Mom says as she wipes off some blood and looks in her purse for band aides.
The faceless man in a business suit steps closer, catching Mom's attention and distracting her from her previous worries.
"Ma'am, do not worry. Sally is not in any danger at the moment. You shouldn't feel the need to help."
Mom was shocked, but I almost found it funny. I could see Sally wasn't a living human. Her feet slightly hovered above the ground and a few patches of dead grass fazed through her feet.
"I'm guessing she's a ghost?" The words escaped my mouth. Everyone looked at me.
"How'd you know?" Asked the lady with long, black hair in a black dress.
I moved my head to face her. "Her feet." I say pointing at her feet. "She's hovering and a few patches of grass are fazing through her." I say looking back at them.
Mr. Jeff started to chuckle as Dad looked at me shocked.
The Dad that raised me looked at the grass, as if thinking about something.
He sighed as he looked up. "Rebecca, I... I think you'll be happier with them."
I looked at him shocked. Did he really just say that?
Mom started to cry, just like Dad, before he continued."With them you don't have to be afraid. You won't have to be scared of going outside, you can be your hundred percent self among them."
Mom nodded, before moving closer to me. "Promise me you'll visit?"
I frantically nod my head as I swing my arms around her neck. Dad joined the hug as they cried into my shoulders.
"I'll miss you. Even though you aren't my real parents, you'll still have a place in my heart."
