Even though I was freaking out and feeling all bubbly inside, I stayed cool and replied, "Sure." While Avery and Demi were busy whispering to each other about Ryan wanting to talk to me in private, Ryan and I walked over to one of the empty classrooms and sat down in front of each other. Ryan flipped his gorgeous blonde hair and said, "Avalon, I've been wanting to tell you this for a long time, but I've just been to afraid of rejection. But today, I finally mustered the courage to talk to you." He paused. I had a feeling I knew what he was going to say. "Avalon rose," he said, "Will you go out with me?" I was so excited, since me and my ex-boyfriend, Chad, had broken up last week. This was just what I needed! "Yes!" I said, making sure not to sound too desperate. He smiled his dazzling smile with his dazzling pearl white teeth. "Great. How about Friday?" He asked. "I'll pick you up at seven." "Sounds good." I said, smiling. We walked out of the classroom together, both very happy. We parted ways and, before I could say anything to Avery and Demi, Avery said, "He asked you out, didn't he!?" I smiled and nodded. Both their eyes widened. We all squealed together our "happy squeal." "Friday at seven." I told them. We talked about it as we reapplyed our makeup. Then, unfortunately, the bell rang. I was still thinking about Ryan. Him asking me out wasa dream come true.
