October 9, 2017
This was an ordinary morning 7:00 'o' clock. Brushing my teeth in the washroom is the most boring part of the day. Sandler started barking as usual. Sandler was our pet dog. My daily routine is to take him out and let him feel free.

October month is very boring for me as the classes come to a halt. Completing my assignments is the worst part of this month. But exploring the wilderness nearby my home is too much fun. It was 3:00 pm and I had started my journey into the wild with Sandler. I was predicting a sunny day but the weather is very uncertain.

By 4:00 clock it had turned overcast and windy, this was the first time I would experience darkness at this time in the thick woods. With the load in my backpack traveling further in this bad weather was not good. We took a step back and started collecting Shrubs to make a comfortable place for relaxing. We sat down for a while with some food and water I did quick scrutiny of all my things and kept my Swiss knife in my pocket to ensure that I am safe. I took a quick nap when I woke up it was already 5:00'o'clock in the evening and the intensity of light was very low.

Now I had to hurry back to my home, I was no less than 2 miles away and that too all alone in the wild. I and Sandler started walking briskly before it gets completely dark. The pulse was on a rise. I could even hear his heart pounding. Suddenly we encountered a rattling sound, Aww! that was scary, all the movements ceased and eyes were fully attentive, my mate found the snake and he barked at my back. Damn! This was a risky position if I move, Breathing steadily and I realized that chances were, that if it sees my movement it would definitely be a snake bite and I would never cover the last mile alive. Sandler moved 3 steps behind my back and by this, I estimated that I was at a bit safe distance. I took a long jump to increase the Gap and whistled my mate and this time we started running by 6:30 we were back safely almost.

Clearly, the Jungle had tested us for the past hour. I knocked at the front door and my mom showed up at the door, Ah! she was tensed and a bit worried about the way I was wheezing. She quickly asked me too sit and gave me a glass of lukewarm water.

What took you so long? Was the first question and I had to just make up one story if I tell the truth I would be under house arrest this month which I did not wanted. She was not happy but I promised her that I would not do that again. I went to the washroom to wash my minor cuts and wounds. With my reflection in the mirror, I took a sigh of relief and prayed to God for saving me from that incident.

I went to the living room and switched on the television for some local news Nothing unusual reported but at last a forecast was played by NASA. This was something I did not expect on television, In bold letters, It was written not to panic in the upcoming days and stop going out of your homes after 4:30 pm. No further message was displayed and the broadcast feed got disconnected. I just asked my mother - "Hey mom Did you just see that?" She replied -no'.

I was blanked out and started thinking for what reason did they discontinued the feed with just a warning. I turned on the radio for the news feed and to my surprise the same message after which the feed was discontinued was being played continuously and this time my mother had heard it too.
