Swimming Pool (One Shot)

ANGEL MAE SAAVEDRA'S NARRATION

Today is May 17 and our whole family is preparing for our outing. I'm in my room deciding what I'm going to bring and checking what I already brought. Anyway, I'm Angel Mae Saavedra. I'm only 14 years old and currently studying in Crystal University. Enough about myself, right now I need to focus on my things.

"Sunblock and sun glasses, check"

"Cellphone and earphones, check"

*toktoktok*

"Angel, dear have you prepared all your things? Don't forget to bring your swimsuit huh" my mom said before she closed the door.

"How could I forgot my swimsuit?!" I said to myself, again. I searched for my two-piece which is color red that totally exposes my beautiful white skin and put it inside my bag. For a 14 year old girl, I know how to dress in occasions like this.

"Done!" I said after I finished preparing my things. I walked off my room and carefully walked down on the stairs.

"Dear, please check what your brother is doing" my mom said at the end of the staircase. I turned back and walk towards Kuya Ace's room. He's in 12th grade and we go to the same school.

"Kuya, are you there?" I said before opening the door completely. I noticed that the lights are off and there I saw Kuya in his bed peacefully sleeping.

"Hey, kuya wake up. We're leaving. Don't tell me you forgot about the outing today?" I said while shaking him.

"Uhhh... Ba't ba kayo english ng english? Takte, nasa Pilipinas tayo oh!" he covered his face with the blanket.

"Hmph! You ruined it! Patuloy-tuloy na sana yung pagsasalita ko ng english eh!"

"Nakaka-nosebleed!" he said

"Did your nose actually bleed?"

"Yes! See?" he removed the blanket that was covering him and I saw his nose. There is blood!

"Oh my! Kuya do you want some tissue?" I said worriedly while searching for a tissue inside my bag.

"Naah I'm just kidding. See? Ketchup lang 'to" he said while wiping the sauce off his nose and licked his ketchup-covered thumb.

"Geez! Don't scare me like that! You know that I have fear of blood"

"Takot ka sa dugo pero gusto mong mag-doctor? Yung totoo?"

"Ugh! Just hurry up and prepare your things. I guess we're going to leave in 10 minutes" I said to him with authority.

"Hoy hoy! Ayusin mo nga ang pagsasalita mo sakin Angel. Remember I'm your big brother"

"I'm sarreh (sorry) okay? Sarreh"

"Stop that 'sarreh' thingy. You should stop watching 'My Love From The Star'"

"No way! Matteo Do is like so handsome and Steffi Chon is so beautiful. They're perfect for each other. Kinikilig ako sa kanila eh" I said while reminiscing the episode last night.

"Ang bata-bata mo pa sa mga 'kilig-kilig' na yan"

I was about to say something when dad opened the door and interrupted us.

"Kayong mga bata kayo, lumabas na nga kayo at aalis na tayo" and he shut the door.

"Naka-prepare ka na ba kuya ng dadalhin mo?"

"Kagabi pa. Tara na nga" kinuha niya na yung bag niya at lumabas na kami sa kwarto.

Bumaba na kami sa hagdan at nakita namin na nakahanda na ang buong pamilya. Sina lola at lolo, my three uncles and their own family and us. Lumabas na kami sa bahay at sumakay na sa van. Actually, di ko alam kung saan kami magsiswimming, ang sinabi lang sakin ni mom rinent daw nila yung buong resort. See how rich we are?
