"Men"

Yes! It's finally Spring. I can't wait to play with other cubs for the first time and chase some butterflies. All these thoughts making me wage my tail and having a hard time to control my self. "Wow someone's excited." A familiar voice behind me and I choose to ignore them keep on waging my tail.

"Haha"

I felt them sitting right next to me and facing my way. "Millie I know your excited to see other pups since it's your first spring after all."

I turned my side to see it's Mom. Mom is red fox as me and my other siblings. She's way taller than me, I have to lift my head up to meet her eyes as she meet mine. "I know Mom I can't wait to play with them and get a chanse see spring." I was still waging my tail when I say that.

My mom put on a smile as one of my brothers started whining. "When is Daddy coming home? I'm starving." That was my oldest brother David. He was born before me sinse I'm the youngest in the family.

Mom walk over to my siblings as I follow behind. Mom sat in front them as she gave them a bright smile. "Don't worry my son your father would be here soon." David noded his head to understand not to rush his Dad from hunting.
"Mom." Me and Mummy look over to see my brother Alex, who came after me ,and stand tall next to me. "Does every spring pups got to see spring?" Alex ask.

Mom's smile turn into frown as my three brother's and I gave her concern and confused look. "Not every pup got a chance to see the spring my son." She said dejected.

My brothers amd I look each other and then back at her trying find more information. "Listen carefully my sons and my youngest daughter that there are some beings out there we called them"Men"..They aren't here to welcome us in open arms."
Then I and my brothers new that she was being serious about these so called "Man" that we never heard from our parents..yet.

We all waited until Mom took a deep breath as she about to start but we heard someone step in the den. My mom was alarmed at first but when she realized it was Dad she calm down a bit.

We all look at Dad, who walk out of hiding and show his reddish fur flicker as he walk towards us. He was carry a rabbit in his mouth. Dad is a bit taller than Mom and hunts for food us to eat sinse Mom stays to look after my brother's and I.

When His eyes sets on Mom. Dad's teeth bit a little hard on the rabbit's ears. Uh oh we know that means protective Dad alert. He sits besides to Mom and sat the rabbit bown giving her concern look.

"Sierra did something happen when I was gone?" He ask. Mom look at him than at us. "No John nothing happen I'm just telling our cubs about Men."

Dad calm down a bit and give Mom kisses in the cheek. Dad look at us once again and started speaking.

"Men has been hunted our kind sinse centres and we about to tell you three about Men as our parents did." We all sat up straight and our ear lift up ready to listen.
"Men is a dangerous being and they carried killing machines with them not let anything to stop them to kill our kind..Not even cubs got a chance to see Spring." After he was finished
I was terrified and shaking of the thought that Men took away new born foxes that haven't gotten to see their future waiting for them.

Then I felt warmth around me as I look up and see all my brothers got together cuddle themselves. I felt comfort from them and I guess they both felt the same way. I gave in and sleep with my brothers as our parents lade besides us.

We all slept that night wanted tomorrow bring smile to our faces once more.
