Chapter 1

I was having the dream that I had every night.I was in the darkness,and I can't get out! I yelled for help but no one ever heard me.As I realized I was there alone I started to cry.Who would want to be stuck alone in the darkness?

I woke up to my mom screaming.She was probably drunk again.I hated that my mom stayed gone all the time and when she did come home she was drunk.My dads family sent me a card and they put money on it every month so I pretty much take care of myself.

"Lexus! Get yo big ass up!"

"What mama!??" I look up at her and shook my head.I wish she would get better.

"Give me five dollars for gas money baby,I'll pay u back."

"You still owe me twenty dollars mama.You finna walk to the store and buy some cheep whisky and be gone all day.I don't have money to waist." I thought about it. I did have money to waist.My dads family send me 800$ every month and I never spend it all.I probably have 3,000 dollars on my card.I was sad that my dad died in a wreck when I was little,but I'm glad his family still cares about me.

"Well I'llf find another way to get then!" She slammed my door making me jump.

I wished my mom would get better. I cleared my head and got out my clothes for school. I felt like wearing something different today.I got out some high waist shorts and a pink shirt.I was fat but gonna look cute.I got my pink sandals and pink boe. I walked in the bathroom and cut on the water then cut my Bluetooth speaker on and 'Trophy by future played.

I got in an let the warm water hit my skin.I scrubbed my body with my peach smelling soap and washed my face with my face wash.When I got out 'All of me by john legend was playing. I walked out and put on my clothes and snapped a picture of my shirt up showing my tummy and shorts.

"I dont look to fat today." Grabbing my purse keys and phone I locked my room door and walked out of the house. I put in my earphones and enjoyed my walk to school. When I got there I went to my locker and got my notebook. I walked in class right before the bell rang.I was looking at my nails as Mr.Hughes talked about some new boy.I think I school go get hmu nails did after school. The bell rang and I walked out of class and to my next one started working on the warm up question and heard someone sit in the seat next to me.I looked up and saw a sexy light skin guy.He looked mixed with curly hair and light brown eyes.He winked at me and I smiled.I went back to work on my warm up question.

The rest of the day was pretty good.I walked to my locker to get my stuff and Alexius bumped into me.

"Watch where yo fat ass going bitch!"

"Im sorry sir" I said before I shot he a birdr.S at her and walked off. I dont know why that hoe hated me! I walked out of school and down to the nail shop.I walked in.and said hey to mrs.Donna.I watched as she put my nails on them and painted them hot pink and grey.I let my nails dry then I payed and started walking home.It was kind of dark so I walked fast.A car rode by and stopped beside me.It

"Hey ma you want a ride?"

"Sure." I wasn't scared of him being creepy or trying to hurt me because I had a knife in my purse for emergencies.

"So where you want to go? I'm kinda hungry if you want to stop and get something to eat?" He looked at me

"Sure but only if you gone look at the road instead of looking at me"

"Just because you taking me to McDonald's dont mean that you finna get in my pants or--"

He parked and we walked in McDonald's. He ordered a Big Mac and a soda.I got Two chicken sandwiches,a small fry,and a Oreo Mcflurry.

"You can eat shawty." He smiled at me.

"I look like I can eat." I said as we moved down the line.

As they called out our order I moved his card out of the way and slid mines.

"Its my way of paying you back for the ride I guess"

"Haha it was no problem but you should let me get it next time.Its part of me being a gentleman." He winked and walked past me to a table.

I sat across from him and started on my food.

"You sure you can eat a whole Big Mac?" I looked at him and at the sandwich.

"Very funny cutie.Just cuz I'm skinny dont mean that I can't eat".

We laughed and talked.I found out that his name is Andrew and he is indeed mixed and loves "thick girls"

"Ready to go thickness?"

"There's a difference between thick and fat drew" I rolled my eyes.

"You are thick and if you say you fat again ima have to smack that ass" He said as he winked

we laughed and walked to the car.He put his number in my phone and we drove off.When we got to my house he said goodbye and drove off
