Chapter 1: The Meet.

2018

Lime Gleeland|POV

I stared out the kitchen window onto the backyard towards the pool as a body came flying over into the pool. I stopped washing the dishes and ran out of the door. I snapped, "Briann! Stop jumping off that freaking roof into that pool. You can get seriously hurt!" He came out of the pool and pushed his wet hair back as he chuckled, "Dad, chill out. Ive survived that jump since I was seven. Im now 17." He sat down at the table and I crossed my arms and stated, "Im just saying you where a blessing to me and—."

"Dad, I know. Please dont give me the entire story. I know. You left Stalling and the day you brought this house..I was dropped on the porch the first night here. I was the most beautiful moment of your life." He told me as I smirked. He took a deep breath as he laid back in the chair as the sum begun to bake his hard body. He plays field hockey for his school. He actually just scored the winning goal for the championship game yesterday. And I am allowing him to have a few friends over to celebrate.
The oven dinged and I rushed back inside and opened it. I pulled out the bake lasagna and placed it on the island counter. My phone went off and it was 2. The mail is here. I had to set a timer because our mail stay getting lost. I quickly made my way out to the mailbox and opened the box. It was only one letter inside. Its a saturday and I am not surprised by that. I heard a horn honk, I jumped as it startled me. I turned around and seen a pick up truck pulling into my house driving pavement. Filled with Briann hockey team mates. Rett hopped out and I spotted the box of Coronas.

"I know when I went to sleep last night..Yall was still 17 so why is beer being brought to a party?" I asked.

Rett laughed, "Cmon, Mister Gleeland. You are the coolest team dad we got. Hell, I thought you being gay meant fun." They all roared as they walked passed me speaking. I swear being the only Gay Dad here has its pros and cons. One being they think Im always chill with everything, because Briann tells them I am. Yes, with him I dont care-if he is responisible..but everybody is different with their children. I walked in and saw Briann grabbed limes to be cut from the fridge.

"All of them are staying over correct?" I asked him as he turned to me.

"Yep." He told me smirking as I pointed to him and stated, "Dont get too drunk." He hugged me and said he loved me as he asked, "Oh you checked the mail?" As he looked down at the letter in my hand.

"Yeah. Princeton havent sent anything. Any day now." I told him keeping his faith up. He shool his head and rushed out off the door. I finally looked at the front of the letter and seen the senders information.

My heart started racing.Sweat felt like it was being forced thru my pores.Hands started shaking. I rushed upstairs and into my room. Yes, our house is big. 3 floors actually. I am one of the head designers for Versace office here in New York. I sat down on my King Size bed and ripped the letter open. I slid the paper out. I slowly unfolded it. It was upside down.

Music started blasting from the outdoor speaker and I jumped..however my focus was clearly on this note from Sally Coombs from Stallings.
