Chapter -2

                                                       A   HELPING   HAND !

One week have passed smoothly in Songbai. The training wasn't too hard so I would follow my aunt's teachings which she had noted in her diary. Those writings can only improve my basics . To participate in the City Youth championship I need to improve my K.O.  For that I need a mentor. So I decided to talk to Senior Ruo Bai about this.

Senior Ruo Bai was watching brother Yifeng's training when I approached him. "What is it ?" he asked. I was hesitating a little. In all these seven days , Senior Ruo Bai hasn't even glance at my practise  .                                                                                                                                                  

"My basics are improving but for taking part in the City Youth Championship I need to strengthen myself ..........so can you be my mentor?" I blurted out . For a minute he didn't speak anything . But then he said ,"Forget about it."

I was confused . What was he saying ? I counldn't understand ."What ?" I asked."Just forget about the championship." he said . I glanced at brother Yifeng , who was watching us . His eyes showed guiltiness . I didn't understand that for one girl how can Senior Ruo Bai give his passion of mentoring."Taekwondo is my passion and winning City Youth Championship is my dream .I can't forget it." i argued but Senior didn't listen to me and left saying "Taekwondo can never be someone's passion."

I was kneeling infront of Senior's dorm in a rainy night. Right now I didn't know what am I doing but this is my chance . My passion for Taekwondo has no limits . I was fully drenched in rain . My shirt started to become transparent but I was only staring at the Senior's house . Senior Ruo Bai had often glanced at me but won't come to help me. He was a really cold guy.

Suddenly I felt a warm jacket on myself . I turned and saw a boy who looked about two years older then me.Yes , he was . Infront of me stood Yu Chuyuan , the most popular Taekwondo athlete who withdrew from Taekwondo. " Who are you?" he asked .

In morning only Xiaoying has told me about Chuyuan and Ruo Bai's friendship so I decided to tell him everything . After listening my story he went inside the dorm to talk with Senior. When he returned I was informed that Senior has agreed with a condition that I have to win against Si Er.

The next morning , I stood infront of Si Er for our match . According to Senior's agreement if I win then he will mentor me or I will leave Songbai after my lose.

This was my last chance to show my potential . Because by loosing this game I'll loose my opportunity to get back to ring . Si Er was a skilled fighter . Her attacks were very powerful and my defending was bad. But I tried to give my best . My energy soon drained out . I had to make clear that my every attack was of Taekwondo. One of her kick directly hurt my chest. A piercing pain made me fall on the ground . My vision was blurred but I could hear Xiaoying's callings .

"Winning and loosing is not we want .Being a sport person we  have to sacrifice everything for our sport even our life." My mother wrote this in her last letter for me. My mother's words were here to help me. I got up and took my position .Si Er was surprised but ready too.. I turned to kick her .She followed my lead to protect her but she didn't know that we boxers never do what we intend . I change my attack and she fell down . When I was announced as the wiiner till then too had lost my consiousness.
